    Sweet xD
The penalties might be a bit harsh, but this would stop all the RMAH and item shop shenanigans, do want in other countries too.

Good. Virtual items are huge fucking scam and their sale should be banned everywhere, not just to protect idiots but also because these asshats don't deserve to make money.

Guys, if i understand this right, cash shops remain untouched, they are just attempting to give monopoly on sales to the publishers.

Seeing as they denied Blizzard classification around allegations of Online Gambling and they had to remove the Auction House in South Korea before they could release the game I would doubt that:

That's entirely different from a cash shop though, there are actual players involved.

Sending people to jail for 5 years for botting in an online game is fucking stupid.

To encourage students not to waste time?

South Korean students are among the most competitive in the world, spend 18 hours a day studying nonstop in extreme cases, and they are not entitled to use what little leisure time they have as they wish?

It is already. Or rather it's under criminal investigation - but for error 37 stuff mostly.

Idiots don't deserve to be 'protected'. If anything, crap systems like virtual items serve to more clearly differentiate the people with no common sense from the normal people.

While I don't like the RMAH, cash shops, and the selling of virtual game items this is an unnecessary restriction on individual liberties. Trying to make things you don't like illegal is a deadly dangerous path to go down. There should be a very good reason for outlawing or otherwise regulating something. The reasons given in this article are nowhere near good enough to restrict individual liberties in this way.
