I'm sure some projects just deserve to get canned.

If Southpark gets canned, Obsidian is history.

Might be already history, from the looks of things.

South Park will not get canned. The South Park guys are too involved for this to happen in any way.

Seems like the programmers at OE are usually shitty on release for any game they touch. I don't know what their problem is, but they better polish South Park so it isn't a glitchy mess. If they need to take longer than FUCKING take longer, don't use me as a beta tester.

Anyways, does anyone think this game will tank?

DSIII wasn't buggy. This won't be too.

That will depend how much Matt and Trey will rally their fans.

I'm guessing the game has an isometric view in the world (school on fire at the beginning) and final fantasy combat. Perhaps they'll have C&C and lots of RPG character progression. It really does look like South Park: The Game rather than a game loosely based on South Park though, I guess that's good for fans.

No, it has a "side" view. It's almost exactly like the show. Combat's Paper Mario Style (the good ones). We know almost nothing about the C&C and progression, but according to early reports from back in december there's atleast some sort of faction System.

There's a reputations for each party member too iirc. And those rep meters have a fairly important role in the game since it's about the player being the new kid at South Park and making friends.

Yea, definately looks good. Definately feels like a South Park episode instead of a cash-in game. Hopefully effort in this is why the last season has been so lackluster.

It also has the woodland critters as enemies as well, with satanic eyebeams.

EDIT: Twenty bucks says being total friends with Cartman will give you worst possible rep with EVERYONE else.

Yeah, it's a 2D game to look more like the cartoon.

It looks good, I might get interested when I learn more about gameplay and especially combat.

It looks interesting. Another fucking trailer without any gameplay.
    Still undecided.

I don't regard that as a gameplay video. Those were just snips with cool moves'n shit.
A gameplay video is a video that has atleast a 20+seconds of pure, uninterupted gameplay.

There was no such thing here.

Seemed to me Mister Slave also has an ultimate attack where he shoves his enemy up his ass.

I don't like South Park at all, and this is still the best-looking game to come out of E3 so far.

Obsidian is a good game studio with talented people capable of making high-quality PC entertainment.

I am wishing every horrifying calamity upon them for creating this motherfucking piece of shit. They make this, they deserve to fold. Sell your soul to the devil, pay the price.
