Codex 2012 PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Try this one, RS 8409-3145-5-5072-1288 3, here is what it looks like for me

Sometimes it takes a while to load in the geometry, and I'm not sure if I get the right textures on everything cause they're kind of shit up close. I'm running a 960 gtx and a ssd on sata 2. Haven't touched the settings, dunno if they're automatic. :M No mods.

This game is murder on graphics cards though, you might be sol with an older one.

i once found a cute little moon orbiting around a huge gas planet right before an eclipse. i saved the state and have been too scared to lose the time/place bookmark i haven't returned to space engine ever since.

Will an Orbiter grade Spaceflight Simulator using Space Engine ever happen? It already has a very rudimentary framework for it, but that's it. However that would also have to wait until the planets in Sol feature properly simulated landscapes to have a point.

I don't know what you mean by simulated landscapes but every planet in sol system has texture pack (with normal maps) on space engine site and some of those are crazy (like few Gigs crazy)

I am yet to see people who actually know what is going on with black holes.
What i mean by that is that most of people say black hole just sucks stuff and has infinite density. Not even light can escape ! then you really don't know anything about black holes and just how crazy they are because that stuff is just way less interesting than what black hole represents actually.

THAT is normal because the more you understand them the more fucking weird they are and you start to question whole reality thing and this is probably why people don't talk about other parts of black hole theory.
Example.

You can never fall into black hole because it requires INFINITE time to pass. What does that mean ?

- From perspective of observer who watches material or someone falling into black hole. As he aproaches event horizon that object or someone just slows down eventually to stop (by stop i mean such slow movement that you can't detect it)
- From perspective of object of someone nothing happens times does not slow down and you normally cross horizon of black hole. What happens on other hand is that universe around you speeds up and suddenly you have all light coming to you from all of universe for all time it existed then nothing and then you see end of universe (whatever it will be)

So depending on from which point you observe you have both someone crossing and not crossing event horizon. Two things at the same time because from one side of view infinite time passes and from other side no one can't wait infinite time because time is infinite (unless there will be end of universe or something)

Next one. Black holes don't have mass, they are not objects and you can't give them timespace value. They are literally punctures in fabric of spacetime. You can't really even say "when" or "where?". We do measure all of those to compare black holes but they are just for us to give us some patterns, we give them mass depending on gravitational impact in neighbourhood but all of those don't exist when you talk about mass or time or space for black holes.
This is why physicists say that physic brakes down inside black hole. We can calculate everything about it going on just near surface or around black hole but we can't calculate anything about what is going inside.

Black hole size doesn't have anything to do with its mass ( like i previously stated bh don't have mass ). Biggest black holes were formed just after universe was born. Also we don't know why they didn't form instantly or why universe isn't just black holes considering that early in universe material was so condensed that should form those black holes instead of stars.

You can't escape black hole while you go past horizon. But this isn't problem with escape velocity ! In really really big black holes you can slowly move past horizon (way below speed of light) While you approach black hole all directions simply starts to gather toward single point and once you cross horizon there is simply no back or left or right. Whatever direction you will choose to go you will always go into one direction like in twilight zone. IF you could see arrow pointing out that direction toward goal whatever movement of your body or head you would always see that direction dead centre as if you wouldn't move at all.

Black holes aren't black. From our perpective black holes are just collection of objects in horizon who are yet to fall into black hole. Which include such things like light. Some of that light can miss black hole by a hair width and shine toward us. But that light doesn't have any color anymore because due to aproach to horizon it wave is streatched out to ward red then infrared then and so on until you can't detect it as it is almost streatched infinitely.

So if you want to see how universe dies just fall into black hole wearing suit which can survive all heat of universe ever produces in fraction of time.

Black as black color doesn't have anything to do with black holes. If you want to use color to describe black hole... then they are tranparent. They can only be seen when something is falling toward hole by their matter being blown away by BC but you can't see black hole itself. You will either see nothing (from far) or you will see bend space if you get close. But there isn't any place where you would be able to see something. Even at 1m away from event horizon you will see only bend space.

Since i am playing NMS right now i went back to try this update aaaaadd.....

Planet LOD generation is like lightyears faster. Planet surface is created almost instantly and you can hardly notice LOD change. My fps went up from 30-40 fps during planet surface generation to 60fps locked while same thing happens.

Also lighting engine seems way more refined now.

Imo biggest change that would add to it would be getting proper sky simulation (like proper light defraction and so on and procedural cloud simulation) + actual self shadowing if it is possible at this scale of planets.

just playing SE casually, i must say some stars became creepy as fuck. Was trying to reach some neutron start and suddenly whole image started to bend like near black hole and then i remembered that certain neutron stars have same space bending proprieties like black holes (just less so)
