Is this what they meant by "Still working on STALKER 2" after the bankruptcy?

I am hoping they just mean "Online portal for information on STALKER" rather than "STALKER Online MMO".

I see this has been renamed to sZone Online and is now on Steam. Any codexers play it yet? Is it as bad as it looks or another rough gem?

Escape From Tarkov is a living example of why an online Stalker is a terrible idea.

They already had a lawsuit and won. The court said "STALKER" is only a protected brand when used in conjuncture with the words "Shadow of Chernobyl".

Aaaand it's removed, by Steam apparently.

    :dead:

I'd guess GSC filed a DMCA takedown.

They must do it to comply with the DMCA procedure, but they can also get it back up 10 days from now if GSC doesn't take STALKER to court, or if Valve is satisfied with the previous ruling.

They take the game down immediately, but then contact the other party and gather all the facts. I don't think relying on an already existing ruling would be against DMCA procedures. Ultimately it'll be at Valve's discretion.
Also, ten days is not a very long time, GSC could miss the deadline or may not even go to court second time, considering they lost already. I don't know if you can even appeal something like this, considering they already lost. Will they sue in another jurisdiction?

Could go either way 10 days from now. No conclusions to be drawn at this point.
