    I know the series are dead in the water right now, kinda. Actually, I don't see situation right now being worse than before.

    Disney's has not said that it's cancelled. Sure, that's not anything much to hold on.
    TV show also would have completely different characters, at least back then, and even if main premise would change, I can't see the TV show having main characters from movies. Maybe at the very best a glorified guest episode or cameo.
