The video is great, unless you're a miserable git obviously. Interesting Fargo pic with Cranford there - tactically reassuring old BT fans that even though the real creator of BT1/2 isn't involved (because Cranford felt Fargo was f*cking him over) that they're still best buds.

Still sticking with my $110 pledge...

Did inXile just said in their video : are you tired of buying supposedly complete computer games ?
    :D
Wow... SHOCKED . What about September 19 2014 lol , when you released WL2 in beta state and it stayed there for 4 months ... ( or should i say real version is not even Out yet Lol )

I really really sincerely hope that Torment will be different , i want to play full game on day one ... not after 6 months of beta release testing .

Are you paying for those updates? We're talking about DLC bits and bobs here.

I find this attitude (not you specifically Atchodas, just general posts on these forums) towards post-release support frankly bizarre. It's like discouraging devs from continuing to work on their games. When we upgrade the game *for free*, according to your logic that retroactively means the previous version wasn't "complete"? That's asinine as all hell, that's like saying I bought a car and later they tuned my suspension and upgraded my tires for free and my response to them is "OH SO YOU SOLD ME AN INCOMPLETE CAR?!" No, Wasteland 2 is complete right now, with the extensive post-release support it got, and the state it released in was not at all unusual for an RPG of its complexity, it certainly wasn't "beta" by any reasonable industry definition (well ok, LA was kinda rough).

For real, you guys like free post-release support right? Then why are you badmouthing developers that do it? It's like shooting yourself in your own dick and then laughing about it.

You could just waited 2 months and released the game in perfect state just saying .
And i am sure everybody is more than happy and waiting for DC of wasteland .
But Wasteland's 2nd part( Cali ) was unplayable at release .
We play and buy games for our fun not to support you you should realize this ( and buggy games doesnt make it fun experience ) , and release your other 2 projects at better state .
If you invested your own money and wanted for the game to pay you wages you would have release a finished game , but ofc when people Kickstarted there was no need to .

If you close your eyes and envision everyone who whines about this stuff as 12 year old kids who can barely work a computer much less understand anything about development cycles it begins to make more sense.

Edgy and Retarded - Great combination.

Don't take those retards seriously. W2 was in a decent state at release (I played it through without a hitch), and it got even better in the coming months. Doing extra work after release is what make you guys great. :D

Seriously , why would a customer care about your development cycles , you sell a product so customers expect to get a finished one , in any other industry than gaming company that releases their product at the same state as WL2 release would go bankrupt in a week and customers would never look back at it , ofc gamers are retarded fanboys and got no backbone so they will swallow all the shit you give them and pretend that they are in control .
inXile tries to pretend that they are some kind of RPG saviors or sht like that but in the end they are just trying to get big again so they can start pumping consoletard titles like everybody else . You had your chance with WL2 ( and failed ) so swallow it up now and prove me wrong with Torment / Bards Tale .

Yea okay Total Biscuit. Wasteland 2 was fine at release (the actual release). We got bug fixes promptly within weeks and now they are releasing a remastered version for free in Unity 5. Of course you can't appreciate that, you just need to bitch and whine.

I played WL 2 on release and ran into exactly 1 bug that required me to just save, close the game and reload. Bug was gone.
I don't fanboy ever - if the game was shit I would call it shit.

Patches that fixed Rodia and Holywood came like 1 month after release .
Not even speaking anymore about legendary Patch 3 which introduced more bugs than the game had before

Best parts of holywood was , you do some random quest and Cutscene appears form other side of the map with events that never happened , this is also around 1/4th of actual patch notes i just copy the holywood part which was enraging .

Dont get me wrong i am happy that they fix things after release , but there should never be this many issues to fix in a released game that got fucking Kickstarted 3 times more than they asked .

Best argument you got , just keep paying for inXile kickstarters lol :D
Codex constructive criticism ends when there are some names to fanboy at , any other studio would be laughed at but no BRIAN FARGO WILL SAVE US FROM DECLINE ye sure , Indie studios releasing better and less buggy games without 3 million KS , meanwhile these Scamers be like : 500k more and you get MCA to write a prologue lel . Empty your wallets fanboys only 2 days left to support "development cycles"

In a perfect world, maybe. But in this world, what's your alternative game studio? inXile represents one of the few studios we can count on to even try to make something that harkens back to some of our favorite games and systems. I'm a WL2 backer and I haven't played the full game yet, I'm waiting for the EEEEExtreme edition to be released. Was it obvious that it was released too early or with not enough QC? Yea, probably. What you're lacking is context, and in the context of this market, they're one of a handful of studios trying to make games that reflect non-mainstream sensibilities. We should support that goal and their continued support for released games.

Does that mean we shouldn't criticize WL2's various mechanics and design elements, and tell them to release a more polished product? No! Our criticisms help guide them. Does it mean we should shit all over their efforts to continue supporting a game they released 10 months ago? I don't think so.
