Well I now have Witcher, Witcher 2, Ultima Underworld I & II and Wasteland 2 keys to give away to my Codexian bros... :salute:

Also, I had no idea my reward tier included writing an Item description. I'm so not creative so I have no idea what to make... :negative:

I'd just make a useless item to troll people. Maybe a ring with a description along the lines of "when in doubt, equip the ring!".

What investors? You are still one of the retarded people that does not understand the difference between a donor and an investor when it comes to Kickstarter?

Even if they are "investors", investors tend to get pissed off when they get a big announcement about something and it doesn't work, so beta-testing it with a soft launch seems like a good idea.

Besides, they did tell their backers several times in the comment section of the kickstarter. It's only the official update that took a while longer.
If they made a mistake, it's not communicating clearly during the KS how long the whole process might take.

    Some:
"Cithara of O'glaien, once in possession of a would be bard, his skills were so atrocious and the sound of the instrument so jarring that invariably the listeners were thrown in a rabid frenzy."(party gains an extra turn).

"Dagger of Cernussos, carved out from a stag's horn wields the power of the underworld."(summons a demonic animal for one turn, +1 backstabbing, +1 vitality.)

"Bow of the wild hunt, fabled elven bow used to hunt humans in ancient days."(+1 bow skills, +1 accuracy, +10 damage against humans.)

What's the rush, it's going to be at least a year if not two years before they ask about this.

Meh, the great save game debate rolls on. It would be really good now if the devs could clarify what's happening because it pretty much underpins the game design, and is probably holding up constructive debate on other issues.

People seem awfully hung up on the idea that it is a 'difficulty' thing, when it's really just about the experience you want to give the gamer. In many ways, a game where you can't just reload from the last quicksave is actually easier because the encounters have to be tuned around giving the player a fighting chance to 'get in, achieve objective, get out' of each dungeon. In many modern games the 'achieve objective' part is getting to the end of the dungeon, killing whatever 'boss' might be there and then moving to the next one. In old-school blobbers the objectives build over time - first dungeon visit it might just be "explore the first floor", or "find the stairs down" or "get some better gear" before you have to exit. Sure, sometimes you die and have to accept loss of some gear or in-game experience, but you gain actual experience of the dungeon and encounters which should be of equal value. I hate the attitude that just because you died in-game, your time spent between that and your last save was wasted. I'm a 40yr old guy with 5 hours gaming time a week but if two hours of XP gain and items were wiped out because I pushed my luck too much inside a dungeon then so be it. Entitlement sucks.

While it might lead to some repetition (some would suggest grinding), the idea that you can't simply reload to <3m ago drives different emotions, experiences and actually makes people appreciate the dungeon more rather than it just being somewhere you journey through on your way to THE END. I'd love to see that idea make a comeback.

DOSBox? That's their special "emulated" version for modern machines? So much for getting Burger to program a native windows version. Hell the versions included in the 2004 reboot run natively in windows.

Well, with Keenan working on Torment I'm guessing the project has been shifted over to New Orleans, so we're going to have to wait for that to all get set up first.

I worked in New Orleans for a year. It's got some decent food, but the weather is awful (compared to California) and it's basically America's third world. I'll take the high taxes, thanks.
