i'll mark the location on your map
So my assumption that everyone at Bethesda moves around in real life by following map markers is true.

I think they'll go full storyfag in this one, this time in exotic dindustan. Ironically, the desert province will be their worst sandbox yet. They're already about as far from what made their source sehr gut as one can get, and that's exactly what's made the shareholders richer, and the fans even dumber.

Location
rpghq (cant read codex pms cuz of fag 2fa)
Codex 2012
did anyone try to just check which location is 4x larger than skyrim?
It doesn't matter because of, like AW8 pointed out, video game abstraction. You could take the area that is the smallest on the map and have it be bigger in-game than Skyrim due to the amount of detail chosen to be depicted. Like Morrowind technically occupies a smaller area on the Tamriel map but it's far larger in-game than the Cyrodil we got in Oblivion.

Elder scrolls 6 guaranteed things

You are an escaped prisoner, slave or have/are bereaved parent/child.

You will become the Savior or Mahdi or Lord of all Creation or The Big Cheese or Numero Uno or He who shall not be Named or Grand Chipmunk or most probably all of the above.

New streamlined systems removing any rpg mechanics now including new awesome buttom which when pressed initiates a full motion captured execution animation that will be beyond Godlike (and utterly miss any npc glitching you in the terrain) killing everything within 2 miles because Pete Hines prefers it that way.

Three voice actors who are famous ( I'm thinking William Shatner,David Hasselhoff and Mr T ) for the important character's who you meet maybe twice and never again.

All other voice acting by Lynda Carter and Brandon Keener.

Only 2 written quests because Emil is on a drop feed now because his tiny brain melted when it received a sensible thought.

So all other quests are now radiant with a dynamic new AI which repeats the same fucking thing constantly.

Built on the new Eden engine which has nothing to do with creation.

Ugly character models obviously,no optimisation again obviously.

Toddy will lie like a fucker in the lead up to release day about what's in the game none of which will be true and retards the world over will lap this shit up and buy 100 million copies.

Given their design mentality since Oblivion, i can honestly see this happening. I don't honestly get why so many people get excited for a new Elder Scrolls game because since Oblivion, they have become just big, empty, open world games that only seem to exist for you to fuck around in, with not much substance to them in terms of actual RPG elements. So much so that you need a ton of mods to make them resemble an actual RPG.

^ It was Todd's direction, not just Oblivion. Redguard was the beginning of decline. I don't care how many Michael Kirkbrides work for your team, he didn't know rpgs. The last person working there who did was Ken Rolston. Kirkbride could write exposition and gibberish; anybody could have watched Star Wars and Nausicaa, or read books like Dune and Lord of Light, and come up with a similar scheme for their world. There were probably better elaborated campaigns out there 20 years prior to Morrowind. So Julian and Nesmith were actually doing something with the game design, and Battlespire itself had very nuanced world building and lore. Ever since Todd took direction, they've been about theme parks, which only magnify how trash their world building gets each new game.

BGS need to embrace what they've made, instead of pretending its an rpg. It isn't. I don't give a shit if it has skills and elves, there's nothing resembling an rpg there. So instead of being morons, make a good sandbox. Focus on the dumb shit "open worlds" have done best, like erosion and spears. Drop all that perk and skill shit, they don't use it anyway.
