Aw man. Level 30 is coming up. I guess I need to spec out of my promethium pally build for dungeons. It's a bit of a glass cannon atm, decked out in +power and +condition damage gear

Sorry I don't have the game so I can't offer my experience, in keeping with traditions of the D3 and ME3 threads I'm just poking fun at the dumb shit in this game but something about this piece of shit makes people really defensive.

Besides, there's an option to buy something to have your sword colored blue! JEWS!

Korean Defense Force really working overtime here.

Well, at least you've now established beyond any shadow of doubt we can ignore anything you're posting from now on since you're admitting to not even trying to find out if the nonsense you're spouting has any basis in truth.

Retail: EQ2, WoW+all exps, AoC, SWTOR, Rift, GW2
Asian Retail: Helbreath, Cabal, Lineage 2, Legend of Mir, Aion

I've probably forgot one or two. Out of all these, GW2's lvl 30 dungeon has been the most challenging "starter dungeon". The lvl 40 one was relatively easy though - mostly RP.

Now tell me, Whisper, what level in GW2 are you now and what did you think of the dungeons yourself? You say they are easy and dumbed down yet you write very little of your experience?

Crowd control/stuns and heals are very nice to have.

Protip that I realized near the end of my run, really helped us out in one of the later boss fights:

 In order to criticize shitty gimmicky piecemeal gaming you need to present proof of purchase? Listen I know you're very butthurt about this and are bosom buddies with the devs but I've not said anything that wasn't 100% accurate.

Someone edit this so it matches the Korean Defense Squad™ in this topic.

Purple color or purple currency? The purple currency is karma. you get that from doing world events. They pop up all over the place.

I'm talking about the purple named weapons on one of the tabs of the pvp vendor. They have like, lower damage than the normal yellow ones.

that's because purple is a quality below gold.

    white: bare item
    blue: common
    purple: uncommon
    gold: rare
    green: unique

See, I haven't got any of those in my current setup. :P
I got a small AoE that grants retaliation, an AoE that purges conditions/damages enemies, a blind and a shitload of damage/burn. I don't actually have any CC to speak of.

I'm considering going shield+mace. then switching utility skill sto Save yourselves (draw all conditions from allies onto yourself) and contemplation of Purity (convert all conditions you suffer into boons). Possibly with signet of mercy as an in-combat instant revive to an ally. I really, really need to find a good place to look up other peoples guardian builds and experiences. Hoaxmetal claimed he was running wand/torch, but I dont' see wands as an entry in guardian weapon skills.

What is their purpose then, if better ones are offered on the same vendor for no cost?

Hehe. I'll find a scepter and try it out then. :P
Still need a GW2 version of tankspot though.

    All my alts.

Only i could write something like this: because its a lie, right?

"PVE: - Most quests or events are "kill x number" or "Get x of y item" which gets really really boring. - The story has NO meaning, I feel like punching my character and killing all the characters I help when I do the story. - Dynamic events are a joke. What's a dynamic event ? It's a quest in an area that is repeated every 5 minutes. - I do like how the story changes based on the choices made, but the story itself is really bad. PvP: - sPvP is fun at first, but it gets boring. Too repetitive"

"Well... To be bluntly honest... This game is a Pay2Win Korean Microtransaction Grind MMORPG, masked behind the Guild Wars name. You can buy XP Boosts... I mean really? Asian MMO written all over it. Not too mention the crafty way they try to hide their "buy gold item shop". Basically you can buy "Gems" from the "Gem Store" for real money, then take these gems and convert them to ingame gold to buy whatever you want."

"Events are a cluster **** of nonsense and don't scale with the number of people. So basicly you get 5 centaurs for a 40+ group of people"

"Seriously, GW2 is a totally failed game. Boring quests like any other cookie cutter MMO, collect and kill, then deliver useless junk to cheap forgettable characters. Combat system is like 2003 WoW. Another medieval setting, laughable story, pathetic voiceacting, laggy as hell and graphics look like from 2006 at best. Cash shop will rip you off with treasure chest keys. No way, keep away from this one"

You do come across as an incredibly butthurt TSW fanboy Whisper. I mean, look at your recent postings. 25 of your last 30 posts were in this thread, whining. You're practically the next gaudaost. But then, it shouldn't come as a surprise considering your lovely warning tab on your user profile. I see you managed to accumulate one on jun 18th for "Being Utterly Retarded"

In happier news, I hit lv 30 with my guardian and finally got both my armorsmithingand weaponsmithing past 100 so I can craft lv30 gear as well. Time to find dem dungeons that Zed said were so hard and see if I get raped.

that's the way it was in gw1. gw2 uses grey for junk, white for common, blue for fine, green for masterwork, gold, orange, red for legendary and purple for mystic supposedly, with purple being kind of an oddball, apparently.

So do i understand correctly that PvP is completely separate from he rest of the game but WvW is connected because you have to use equipment and skills found/learned on your "adventure"?

Do we wanna find a time and place for a seafarers run into the catacombs? Or should I just find a group of random puggers to roll with?
