I stabbed him too, but in the cut-scene afterwards he's still crawling about on the floor.

Evil animu guy was ridiculous, just as cyborg ninja chicks with swords.
And the encounters where player has to win in order to be beaten in a scripted cutscene are fucking frustrating.

Hard to say it isn't weighing on Shepard when they force you through those fucking tedious dream sequences. You don't even have Irenicus making awesomely over-dramatic speeches this time around.

Well they may look similar, and are both cyborgs, but the animu swordsman acts, fights and has a role in the story more like Darth Maul.

But Jesus, did Bioware rip off the design of Adam Jensen for the animu guy? They look very, very similar now when I think about it.

Yeah, the dream sequences can serve as a prime example of hamfisting "subtleties" in the game. I guess they were supposed to invest the player emotionally by showing Shepard's struggle with the ever-increasing burden on his shoulders but it was done so poorly that I was just annoyed by the slow running speed and was amused by Shep's retarded facial animation when looking at the burning kid.

As to the Kai Leng-Adam Jensen similarities, I think you guys are going a bit too far here. Darth Maul analogy seems more proper but it's common knowledge that Bioware writers follow popular cliches. The only BIO games with interesting (and sometimes even surprising) character development I played was DA:O, with the honorable mention of a couple of characters from BG2 which I shouldn't need to name. All the characters in the ME series are rather strongly tied to their underlying archetypes and I'd say it fits the space opera character of the game pretty well, with the exception of the Illusive Man whom I consider my favourite character in the second game - and who got terribly butchered in the third game making for a rather shallow adversary.

Yeah, that was really the uplifting side to the story. It speaks volumes about Bioware when the best written character in ME2 and ME3, with whole questlines that instead of angst-filld drivel have actually a lot to do with the threat at hand is a goddamn robot. Generally, the story feels as if written by a bunch of rabid monkeys on meds with someone competent going through the script about 1 hour before the shit got released and doing as much damage control as possible. After that probably Gayder took over 5 minutes before the release and penned up the ending (I still haven't seen it but the dream sequences lead me to believe that pointless brat will somehow be involved in it).

    So true.

Ther are more similarities I think, they are both the right hand guy of a powerful/rich man and get injured so they had to be augmented enhanced,Jensen has his arm blades while that guy has an actual sword. The only big difference is that one is a good guy while the oether one is evil

Maybe you're right. I haven't played DXHR so i'm not very familiar with it.

But the whole Cerberus super assassin that is suposed to be "Shepard 2.0" is so porly implemented into the story and over the top (even for Mass Effect) you've got to wonder what were these guys thinking whan they decided to put thim into the game.

This was asked before and here is the lead developer's video response:

    That should clear things up.

Frankly I don't care whether that guy really cheated or not, the fact that being banned from the multiplayer also locks you out of your solo game is the most retarded crap I've ever seen coming from Biowhore, a new low has been reached. How low can you get ? Will they turn Chinese ?

Bullshit! That's not the lead developer of ME3!

    He's too coherent and normal.

    Your ignore list.
    The correct term is niggay.

Also, I predict an alternate ending DLC to hit soon, given how much backlashing the official ones are receiving from basically everyone (biowhores and not).

After meeting Kai Lang, my first reaction was, "who's self-insertion fanfic character is this, and how did he end up in this game?" Then when you fight him he just cheats by being invincible half the time.

Also, I took notes as I played through the game about things that didn't make sense. Here they are.

    Drones are mad! M:

ME1 never happened. Just like 2. I mean, at some point the guy from Jersey Shore even mentions his team was killed because of a Cerberus spy working for the Collectors.
A Cerberus spy working for the Collectors. During ME2.

Why didn't Shepard just record everything he did in the first Mass Effect? Or at least in Mass Effect 2, when he knows people don't belive him? The omni-tool has a camera, a side quest has him recording a documentary on is, so, what not?

I didn't bother talking to guido marine guy a single time in my playthrough. I figured if Bioware couldn't take 5 minutes to explain to me who he was and why he was suddenly on my team, it wasn't worth 5 minutes of my time listening to him.

That's true. A single audio file that could have easily been faked recovered from a sentient race of robots nobody trusts was enough to convince the counsel to convict one of their most trusted special agents, so you'd think a few pictures or maybe a transcript of the Sovereign conversation would be enough to convince them that the reaper threat was legit.

    Updated my masseffect.txt.
