Because they didn't try to explain it with fake science words.

Dark matter and dark energy for instance are real things, and has nothing to do with how the terms are used in Mass Effect.

Thought I should point out that "high warp damages subspace" is literally the plot of a Star Trek TNG episode.

Yes, that's why I said it was an incline for BioWare.

But the real question that comes from all this? How will Biotards react when the other person starts to romance their waifu? The butthurt that will arise from that type of situation will cement ME3 as the best experience I've ever seen from a game and have never even played it.

Think of “The Beer Diaries” as the craft beer equivalent of a casual game

Even after leaving BioWare he cannot not into casual, it seems.:troll:

    1. Any life capable of creating AI will eventually create an AI that will turn against it.
    2. Any AI that turns against organics may cleanse the galaxy of life permanently.
    3. The Reapers are the strongest AI developed. They are tasked with protecting life as a whole,
    4. Taking into account #1 and #2, any life capable of creating AI must prove that they are strong enough to stop it if it turns against them, otherwise the AI may cleanse the galaxy of all life (which the reapers must protect against). The way to prove this is to defeat the reapers.
    5. If life can't defeat the reapers it must be reduced to a state incapable of creating an AI. Basically decimation back to primative technology.
    6. The reapers must constantly seek to improve themselves, to be the epitome of AI, else they might not be sufficiently testing civilization. No doing so could lead the said life beating the reapers but them creating a more advanced AI that kills all life. vis a vie the experiment with human reapers. Not that it necessarily would have improved them, but they logically are required to give it a try.

Those of you who actually play this Mass Effect shit tell me how many plot errors bioware has created in my flawless logical reasoning.

The real question is why, if the reapers are an AI, don't they pull some reverse-Independence day shit and hack into every system and shut it down whenever they want. IIRC it's mentioned that the AI on Shepard's ship can do this and it's a small ship computer vs an ancient alien AI race.

Computer compatability? My first thought upon watching Independence Day was that if the aliens were so dependant on computer software that just happened to be compatible with Earth PCs, why didn't the humans just wait for the Windows 95 blue screen of death to wipe all the aliens out for them? How the fuck did they manage to keep Windows 95 stable for long enough to cross the galaxy in their ships?

    So we have what now?

3 versions of ME story that are compatible with the flow of events presented in games (minus human derper and Shepard: The Burnt Pancake), logically consistent and infinitely better than what BW with their team of people actually paid for their work and presumably making effort instead of idly philosoraptoring on internet forum managed to slap together?

If I was this inept I would seriously consider playing Russian Roulette with a minigun.

Basically Bioware just ripped off Gurren Lagann (stated often enough in this topic too), except being incompetent they didn't manage to carry over any of the greatness or ROW ROW. If you would like to know more, ask me about anime.

The reapers are clearly stagnant and not improving noticeably if at all. They are what, a 2M year civilization?? And the 50000 tousands lame organics are technologially almost on par with them?? Becasue while the galaxy can't beat the reapers in a conventional war the organics weapon's tech is certainly in tech range to reliably hurt reapers (plenty reapers are destroyed by regular warfare), that implies small tech gap. If reapers are suposed to be smarter than organics they certainly don't show any signs of that superiority in ME universe, if anything they seam dumber, lol.

Which btw, puts the control ending in a very awkward situation, if reaper forces aren't that advanved to begin with how is "shepard" going to retain control of the galaxy without "cycling" it for an organic tech reset?? Unlikely that "shepard" stays in power long without cycling organics one way or another.

We should spam BSN Miranda threads with that. Would be interesting to see whether they fap themselves to death or rage about how we're 'devaluing their love interests.'

This is not as big of a plot hole as it appears, they did have 50 years with the crashed ship to learn to interface with it.

Cut scenes from Independence Day were supposed to explain that all knowledge of modern computation was stolen alien tech.

Which presumably is similar in ME anyway, given that most tech seems to be discovered from ancient alien civilizations (which presumably either dates back to the race that created the reapers or a race that inherited from the originators).

I'm not a computer expert, but this should not translate into compatible ports and OS allowing for easy Hollywood hacking.

It would translate into being able to do that. If all computers we have are basically reverse-engineered alien tech, surely Area 51 would know how to interface with the original stuff. And presumably the aliens are some kind of hivemind or whatever and have never needed to defend themselves against hacking?
