The United States is a country where "Nevaeh" became one of the most popular female names after the singer from the band P.O.D. decided to name his daughter it. Yes, that's "heaven" backwards. Calling your kid Liara or even Dovakhiin by comparison is nothing.

Thats not the only thing they actually did right. Banter and characters actually moving around the ship and meeting eachother was another thing done good. Something someone would have expected from the so called "character driven game" Mass Effect 2(aka Space Pokemon or Shepard the new Jesus) that had basicly nothing like that.

ME2 also channeled Final Fantasy 12's problem of most companions not even recognizing each others' mere existence.

    "Character driven story" my ass.

Funny enough Bioware used to mock Japan Rpgs and now is basicly making ones...

Mass Effect 2 was their absolute alltime low. Even Dragon Age 2 displayed stats for weapons. Hell, even the mocked Call of Duty was a more complex game then this pile of shooting gallery crap.

Very much so. And with no trolling involved, most brazillians tell the story that 'da silva' was a generic name for a native converted into Catholicism.

    :hmmm:

I actually feel sorry for the guy. He quotes Mass Effect at the funeral of a family member. Putting aside the issue of respect/disrespect and whether it's appropriate to quote mass market video games at the death of a loved one, it shows that the extent of his ability in either producing or quoting something heartfelt and profound does not extend beyond what he has memorized from Mass Effect.

Not only that, but he notes that it's the first time people in his family have shown him any sort of approval.

That's pretty pathetic no matter how you want to look at it.

His relatives should've attempted a retroactive abortion by sticking a coathanger as far as they can into his ear.

Touching that he couldn't think up something a bit better than that for a damned relative. These people are just weird.

My favorite part of that rant was about "being the first time some of his relatives looked at him with anything resembling approval"

Yeah, cant imagine why your relatives dont have any respect for you....

Honestly,if you're gonna give a speech at a loved one's funeral and the best you can come up with is a quote from a fucking computer game, then you might wanna re-think your life or better yet ...try taking a bath with a plugged in toaster.

Yeah, that's just fucked up. I've got something far more tasteful saved for a funeral speech:

I hate to admit it, but the linguist in me thinks that kala and hira are typical salarian phonemes. :(
