Yeah, I'm not buying into this. The Green ending would be obvious unless they made everyone less glow-in-the-dark via retcons, the Blue ending would necessitate that the Reapers are floating around somewhere, and the Red ending would mean that everything is "normal", but this would require the death of the Geth and more. So I guess that Blue is the new way to go, except the Reapers are now off to fix suns or something so you never see them.

 

Anyone who chooses an ending other than red is a faggot.

 

I posit that getting to the point in the game where you make the change at all is a sign of faggotry.

I still dont understand it tho, why the fuck did the normandy escape tru the mass relay on the ending, they were orbiting around earth and earth was clearly not affected by the magic wave.

Not true. The geth and EDI still die in the Red ending, even with the Extended Cut and all EMS maxed out.

Well, you never see the geth die but you don't see their ships survive either - and they do not get mentioned at all in the ending narration by Hackett. And you don't see EDI either.

 

The whole equating AI with gays and minorities thing never clicked for me in any sci-fi show or game. They're fucking robots, I literally don't care how well they mimic sentience. Kill 'em all.

 

There was a twitter from one of the writers stating expressly that EDI and the geth made it alive in the destroy ending, and implying that the kid was lying.

And the minorities thing doesn't make sense either: not for immigrants, not for religious minorities, not for tribal differences, not for former slaves. The two I can think of, the freedom from the creators and the "does this unit have a soul?" thing are two distinctly different things that have nothing to do with modern day issues. Because what is the last time humanity build itself a servant race that rose up, or had said machines ask if they had souls? Never.

Your English is not making sense to me here for whatever reason. My point is that robots are often used as analogies for suffering human minorities in sci-fi but I always have a hard time with it because I just can't make the logic leap of treating circuits like living beings, no matter how well made the robots are. Destroy all Reapers at only the cost of breaking some other robots too? Why the fuck would anyone not choose that option?

 

Rembeber think that biological intelligence is really just a chunk of nerve cells firing off electrical impulses. The robots may not really be all that different.
