Might and Magic 7 is so black and white is not even funny. You're either a god, angel, jesus christ, all good or you're the devil, demon, all evil. It's even more black and white than Star Wars.

I'll honestly rank might and magic 7 lower than 8,so many bad designs in MM7...

the quest where you have to kill all the griffins is not even working for me btw.

the hybrid classes are fucking useless(good luck triyng to beat this game without a cleric and a wizard). In my second playthrough i tried a different party: Ranger,Monk,Archer and Wizard, they're worse in every way than the default Knight,Thief,Cleric and Wizard party. At this point the classes are just difficulty settings.

The Breeding pit is retarded(even more than walls of mist),there's no way you can beat that shit without cheesing the behemoth's and it takes ages to kill one of this motherfuckers.

Many, many crashes at the red dwarf mine.

You have to do the bounty hunter miniquest's to promote your hunter, how the fuck i'm supposed to know where every enemy in the game is in my first playthrough ?

At least i'm finally done with this game, thank god ! 2 weeks of suffering !

The behemoths was a sharp difficulty spike in the game.
But the mixture of real time and turn based is so stupid, that they can only go up a slope in real time, but they will still go down the same slope when in turn based.

Git gud.

If by getting good you mean playing in real time and cheesing the fuck out of the game, then yes, pretty easy to do.

Now tell me how archers are not shit ? they have low spell points and damage.

Monks i can see them being good once you get the ninja promotion but i need to promote my wizard first and i couldn't find the fucking golem right arm.

MM7 seems to be designed around the real time combat honestly,in mm6 i could play the entire game in turn-based but in MM7 i have to go real time and cheese every fucking time.

One of the main examples is fighting the pit(light side),every time one of this Queen of the dead cast dragon breath on you she one shots your entire party and there's hundreds of them in the pit

so,you either play a save/reload simulator(like i did) or you play in real time and try to dodge everything.

No, the game is perfectly playable in turn-based mode.

Dunno, how about reading what the skills do? Or maybe thinking about party synergies? Archers can GM bow and that skill, when properly boosted (20-30 skil level), is capable of unleashing ungodly DPS even in turn-based mode. Archers are also, well, archers. So ofc your ranger-monk-archer-wizard composition is shit because you have two melee specialists (as much as a ranger can be called specialized in anything) and two ranged specialists. Suddenly, the synergy is not there. Who could've guessed.

I never found thieves even remotely useful, especially compared to archers. Having a secondary spellcaster is much better useful than being able to steal shit and disarm traps a bit better.

Hybrids are there to add variety or for experts to play with, you shouldn't have more than 2 if you don't know what you're doing and i don't think you should have more than 3 even if you know what you're doing, going without a sorcerer is a serious handicap.

Getting good damage spells for your sorc should be a priority. Free Haven is probably the most likely place to get good spells IIRC.
Also do the class promotion quests as soon as possible, since they significantly increase hit and spell points.
Get bows for all characters. You need to go to Castle Ironfist for the Bow skill IIRC.
If an area is too tough, try another.
Try to visit the Shrines in the appropriate months, and avoid having to wait for a new chance next year. Getting extra resistances is useful.

In my opinion PACS sucks. Try maybe KCDS. Spear/Misc-Dark/Body/Spirit-Fire/Body/Air-Water/Light
Finished it a few weeks ago with this party. Was a cakewalk.
You need Water at Master level as soon as possible. Every skill point goes there. As soon as you get Water Master, Town Portal and Beacon the game will be easy. etc .Fireball(Druid) the shit out of the enemies, beacon, portal to Sorpigal-temple and back....
The Knight promotion is very easy. This way you get a high hp char very soon.

Bros, I need your help. It's that time where I once again attempt to play MM6 and as usual the thing is kicking my ass and pissing me off.

As far as damage goes, sparks at point blank is your friend. Also poison spray, to a lesser degree.

Do not focus on clearing every dungeon of every map. The environs of Castle Ironfist can be challenging at the start, so leave them for later. Take a boat from New Sorpigal to Misty Islands, do some of the easier quests there. Clear the overland map to get a level or two more. Buy spells from the mage guilds there.

Also, what about stats? My current mo is to give my melee dude might, lotsa int/personality to casters, and a bit of speed and accuracy to everyone. That okay?
int for sorc/druid
per for cleric/druid, dump for sorc
acc for everyone

bonus only at odd numbers (till 25 or so)

you start with 11-25 and end with 150-250....so not that important
