Do you know how much heat a RX 5700XT @2GHz currently emits, let alone how much power it draws? Hint: Too much for a small-cased console. And that's just the GPU alone.

Also don't forget these Devkits always operate at higher clocks than final products.

PS5 will have a custom made one + they have a year of improvements

They won't have a year of improvements. In order for mass production to start the hardware has to be finalized well in advance of the console's launch, up to a year before.

A year not, but probably from the time when they announce the specs, which will be in february or april, so they have half a year.

Possibly, yeah.

Morgoth you brainiac Amd will use new microarchitecture called RDNA which is made also for new consoles (both sony and microsoft) that's why the new consoles will have such good gpus.

RDNA + 7nm = powerfull gpu that is cheap enough for console.

The GPU in the PS5 will be a newer revision of the architecture used in the RX5700. Most important, though, is it's a custom chip - it will be faster in some cases, slower in other. The consoles do not use off the shelves PC GPUs.

Ryzen 3600 + custom 5700, can't wait

I think Ryzen 3600 and 5700 are a good guideline for thinking about what it will be, but both will be powered down in some ways for heat/power/cost reasons. However they will also benefit from console architecture and optimization, so it'll probably even out. Early games won't use all that effectively though, so PC gamers with a lesser rig probably have 2ish years to upgrade.

oooh it's actualy 9 tflops on RDNA which translates to 14 tflops of GCN, tricky AMD

9 tflops won't even heat that much, but effective(real) power will be like 14 tflops of current cards.

However, with Intel entering the GPU market, I suspect the prices will become sane again and upgrading will not be as damaging to the home budget.
PS5 having a 5ghz cpu is more likely than that.
Well, Intel has lowered its prices significantly for the new "extreme" lineup, it will most likely lower the prices for the "next generation" 14nm++++ desktop CPUs that will release early next year. They felt AMD's breath on their backs, so they might want to fight in the GPU market with a good price. It is speculation, though, yes.

My bet is they will have a new product to compete vs amd at their normal price rather then lowering price.

So all this means that PS5 will be like a high end PC during time of release, PS4 was like low-mid end PC, the difference will be YUGE

1.6 is base (in the user interface menu screen) boost for games is 3.2

No reason for the CPU to work 100% when you are doing nothing but browsing settings in the operating system, when you start a game, the CPU will go into 3.2ghz

Yeah, several seconds boost like in standard laptops. Just what gaming needs.

The 1.6 GHz Zen 2 CPU for the Xbox Scarlett is nothing but speculation, based on an earlier leak of a supposed AMD SoC based on the Zen 2 architecture, which indeed had 1.6 GHz base clock. Base clocks mean shit nowadays, because CPUs use different kinds of boost clocks, which depend on number of cores used and other factors.

edit - only mobile CPUs cannot sustain their max boost clocks for extended periods of time. It depends on the laptop model, but usually, mobile Ryzens reduce their boost clocks less than Intel. Desktop CPUs usually don't do that, but it also depends on BIOS settings.

edit 2 - all we know about the GPU of the Scarlett is that it is also a "Navi based GPU". Nothing more, nothing less. It seems both consoles will be very similar to each other, but this time, the Xbox might not be as underpowered as Xbone vs PS4... but that's speculating.

Ofc it does, the reason laptop ones don't is the heat. Do you expect the console to be closer to a desktop or a laptop?

Right, base clock being half of entry level 1st generation Ryzen's doesn't mean anything...
Cheers to these consoles being on same level with high end PC's next year...

Haven't you seen the devkit? It's much bigger then a laptop, it's like a small desktop.
