Where does Nordic get all the money from? Do they own any franchise, that justify this? I mean far as I can see none of their games was a millionseller so far? Am I wrong?

Lars, the owner of THQ Nordic has some real estate investor buddies and THQ Nordic themselves have built up a lot of capital over the years by just playing it safe and essentially never losing money on one of their projects.

Timesplitters was basically my group's Goldeneye. I would love to see it on PC with proper mouse control, online multiplayer, etc.

Who got Second Sight before? Codemasters?
If yes - then they should take Severance too because those dummies from Codemasters - more like PulloutMasters - still not bring some of their games back on GOG.

Really admire them using PCs for their stations. Normally these events do consoles, don't they?

They're looking for more acquisitions of IPs, studios, and publishers: https://www.pcgamesinsider.biz/inte...hq-nordic-europes-next-publishing-powerhouse/

Now they have acquired Kingdom of Amalur and the canceled MMO Project Copernicus: https://thqnordic.com/node/301

I hope they use art assets of Project Copernicus to something good. They looked cool.

Wow, is there anything they won't buy? The people of Rhode Island thank you, THQ Nordic!

Maybe we should send them tips about more lost IPs they can grab. They can become the new Nightdive.

The difference being that unlike Night Dive, THQ Nordic actually publishes and develops games. I don't see how being "the new Nightdive" is something you'd want to be as a goal.

KoA... I remember only playing this an hour our so and then quitting with a "Meh" and never returning due to backlog.

Not sure if I wanna jump into this again. Is this just a big waste of time or are there any redeeming qualities?

Just go and try it for yourself. If there's one thing that I have ever learned in video games is to not believe other's opinions.

How much do you like a decent combat system marred by boring quests, bad encounter design and easy enemies?
Because the combat system by itself is the only redeeming feature, minus the very good pirate expansion.

I'll also like to add there certainly was an attempt to add interesting lore and background, but it comes off as generic WoW fantasy.

They should make a Saints Row game using 4's tech that unifies the story from 1-3. I'd give my jewgold for that.

Why not the tech from Agents of Mayhem?
On a semi related note, this video about AoM is great.

Only because I have yet to play it (I have bought it recently) so I don't know much about it.

This and Darksiders makes it seem like they have an addiction to bland messes that look like Warcraft.

Wait, what? It's been forever since I played the thing but all I remember is how the combat was just stunlock city. Then I got the ring things and it was stunlock megacity.

I'd pay a few quid for a copy of Punisher, that were THQ if I remember right and best take on character i've seen.
