    <a href=http://www.gamespot.com>GameSpot</a> posted a brief <a href=http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/theroots/news_6090901.html>info</a> and 9 screens of <a href=http://www.thgate.com>The Roots</a> which is, according to <a href=http://www.cenega.com>Cenega Publishing</a>, a highly anticipated RPG (not that I've ever heard of any other kind). As players progress through the game, they'll travel through 24 different regions, encounter more than 120 nonplayer characters, and will be able to employ more than 400 items and 70 spells to fight off around 100 different types of monster in 70 different battle arenas.     That sounds a plot ripped right outta 16-bit console RPGs. At least it isn't as dumb as Seiken Densetsu's plot.
