After you install the game (+- 12GB) you can uninstall Origin and the Sims 2 will still launch.

You will have to do some tweaking if you want to play in the game in widescreen

Nice. Sims 2 is better than Sims 3.

 

That's good to know, I only really played the first game and some of its expansions. This one still looks surprisingly good.

Ugh, those "emotions" really seem to be waste of time, something you'll watch once and then skip over. Build mode, neighbourhood and UI changes are nice but other than that I'm not impressed.

The open world in sims 3 was really cool. I had one sim who was a bum and didn't own a house, just an empty home lot. Instead he lived in a tent in the park, using public toilets and mooching off picnic baskets for food. Occasionally he would camp out in people's gardens. Good fun. Doesn't sound like that will be possible in sims 4.

On the other hand the open world was probably the main reason why sims 3 was so glitchy and slow, especially with a lot of expansions installed. So I can understand why they decided to take it out.

 

Did they play the sims 2? Holy fuck.

 

Wow that "weirder" ad was pretty depressing. However every base game in this franchise sucks so I'm still hopeful there'll be something decent in 2-3 years. If not, it'll just be another Sims 3.

 

Hearing actual talking in the Sims is a bit... bizarre.

 

Models look particularly horrible and gay on those videos.

 

I like how they put a fat girl in it to suggest that there's nothing wrong with being fat.

 

Depression, obesity,... in before introduction of Prozac and McDonald's in-game advertisements.

 

The Sims have declined a lot from the cheerful healthy bunch on The Sims 1.

 

Well if their world is inspired by USA it would look like Kwa is filled with fat chicks and hipsters, which is pretty spot on.

 

Aren't the Sims games all prequels of one another, carefully telling a story of a society that becomes more and more authorative and oppressive with every game?
