I mean tedious in the sense that you actually have to do stuff, it's just really boring and tiresome.

Yeah... okay... I was dead wrong on that one. I played for four or five hours before I just couldn't go on anymore.

Stop listening to Ed, the guy has like 400 hours of Skyrim, 700 hours of Oblivion, and 200 hours of Saints Row 3. The Dungeon games aren't THAT bad although no were near as good as DK 1/2. I'd skip the first one and get the 2nd, it's the better of the two (of course I won't skip either, rebuying both on Steam so I can pad my library....look out Ed, here I come).

Eh, I tried the demo for a bit. Don't like the engine and the demo's explanation of the mechanics were less than clear. I might reconsider during the Summer Sale if for some odd reason I don't buy the twenty or so things that are actually on my wish list.

Look at this fag implying that Saints Row and oblivion/skyrim are in the same category.

I'm implying Ed plays and loves shit games. I take it you disagree?

Can you dual-wield that for multiheaded action? :bounce:

  13. Nope. And the baseball bat can be upgraded with spikes, but you can't upgrade the penetrator. It wobbles around with physics on both shaft and balls though so you can't use any melee weapon except it. :bounce:

  17. Daily deal is Space Quest collection for $5. Kinda tempted even though I dunno if I'll ever get around to playing them, just because MAN I LOVE BUYING CHEAP ADVENTURE GAMES ON STEAM AND THEN PLAYING MAYBE ONE A YEAR. MAYBE.

Overall a good series. 3 and 4 were its zenith. Starts to taper off at 5 (only one guy from Andromeda did it) but picks up slightly in 6 (thanks to Gary Owens narration... although the plot is still fairly weak). There's a VGA remake of 1 in the package so 2 is the only one that's AGI graphics and a bit awkward to work through on modern machines (that said I believe there's a modern fan made remake of it).

Space Quest is AWESOME. Totally worth the 5$. Lots and lots and lots of glorious death await you. <3

  20. Yup, picked it up. It'll go in to my gigantic adventure backlog which I ever so slowly creep through. Main reason I didn't back the Doublefine adventure Kickstarter, got so goddamn many adventure games lined up on Steam since I only get in the mood to play them once in a blue moon but almost always buy them when they're on sale JUST IN CASE.

Bah, you should have just sent me a message on Steam and I would have bought it!

  22. Fear not bro! I'm sure that $15 will get burnt up during the summer sale! Probably. Then again I got surprisingly little last winter sale, but this time I'm gunning for Paradox strategy so I've got hopes!

Also, oh shit. I just noticed the Binding of Isaac expansion achievements seem to be up on Steam. Don't know if they're unlocking properly, but they're showing at least.

hmm, i'm thinking the space quest deal is US only? can someone post a direct link so I can check?

Bizarre, not wanting superior countries to buy and play almost 20 year old games.

  24. For anyone who wanted Binary Domain but didn't want to buy a $20 key from CDkeyshere for whatever reason, it's now $20 for a Steam key on the more well known and reputable Getgamesgo.
