Library count for me is 184 (actual count is probably far lower because of stuff like Elven Legacy expansions, Overlord expansion, etc). As far as whether I've played them all, Cogs seems like the only game I haven't opened and played for at least ten minutes or so. There are quite a few games I've tried and not liked never to play again, and some I've set aside as newer ones come in and hope to get back to eventually. That said, indie bundle games account for a lot. Don't have the time now but later today just for laughs I'll compile and post a list here separating stuff into categories as far as: extensively played, moderately played, barely touched, and/or essentially free/indie bundle.

Back to what I said earlier, since my life is so exciting I've broken down the titles I have on Steam: extensively played/completed, moderately played, tried briefly and hope to revisit, tried briefly and hate, indie bundle purchase, and free (the latter two categories meaning it's fairly irrelevant how much I've played since I got them for nothing to next to nothing).

Extensively played/completed: Alien Shooter 2, Arx Fatalis, The Baconing, Borderlands, Costume Quest, Dead Island, Defense Grid, Deus Ex, Deus Ex HR, Duke Nuke'em Forever (not saying I enjoyed it!), Dungeon Defenders, Dungeon Siege 3, Fable, Faerie Solitaire, Fallout 3 (oh the decline), New Vegas, Gothic, Gothic 2, Gothic 3, Half-Life, Half-Life 2 (+episodes), Killing Floor, King's Bounty Legend, King's Bounty AP/Crossworlds, L4D, L4D2, Madballs, Majesty, Majesty 2 Collection, Mass Effect (derp), Monkey Island 2 SI, M&B Warband, Nation Red, Orcs Must Die, Overlord, Plants vs. Zombies, Poker Night at the Inventory, Portal, Psychonauts, Puzzle Quest 1, Puzzle Quest 2, Risen, Stalker SOC, Serious Sam 2, Swords and Soldiers, TF2, Terraria, Torchlight, Trine, Vampire Bloodlines, Witcher.

Moderately played: Dark Messiah, Morrowind, Greed Corp, Overlord 2, Toki Tori.

Tried briefly and like/will revisit: Divinity II, EYE, Evil Genius, PB Winterbottom, Nyx Quest, Oddworld series, Stalker COP.

Tried and hate: Arcania (sue me), Avencast, Bioshock, Deus Ex IW, Elven Legacy (came as part of a Paradox pack), Foreign Legion Buckets of Blood, Red Faction Guerrilla, Sanctum, Sim City 4, Spellforce, Super Meat Boy, Thief Deadly Shadows, Titan Quest.

Indie bundle fodder: Amnesia, And Yet it Moves, Anomaly Warzone Earth, Aquaria, Atom Zombie Smasher, Audiosurf, Avadon, The Ball, Bastion, Beat Hazard, Beep, Binding of Isaac, Bit Trip Beat, Bit Trip Runner, Blocks That Matter, Braid, Burn Zombie Burn, Cave Story, Chime, Cogs, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Critical Mass, Doc Clock, EDGE, Eufloria, Fortix 2, Frozen Synapse, Gish, Gratuitous Space Battles, Hammerfight, Iron Grip Warlords, Jamestown, Limbo, Lugaru, Machinarium, Night Sky, Nikopol, Osmos, The Path, Penumbra, Revenge of the Titans, Rhythm Zone, Samorost 2, Scourge Project, Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds Survivor, Shank, Sideway, Snuggle Truck, Space Chem, Steel Storm, Sword & Sworcery, Trauma, Turba, The Void, VVVVVV, Wasteland Angel, World of Goo, Xotic, Zen Bound 2, Zombie Driver.

Free: Alien Breed 2, Bunch of Heroes, Depths of Peril, Dota 2, Drakensang, Dungeons of Dredmor (thanks MHC!), Nuclear Dawn (thanks Angthoron... I think!), P.A.M., Puzzle Chronicles, Puzzle Kingdoms, Runespell Overture (thanks MHC!), Serious Sam First Encounter, Sol Survivor, Unstoppable Gorg, Zombie Shooter (thanks MHC!), Zombie Shooter 2 (thanks MHC!).

Haven't played at all: Just Cause 2 (when I finally get off my ass and upgrade to DX 10), Renegade Ops (same), Team Fortress Classic (came with the big HL1 bundle I bought).

So, there you go. Eyeballing it I'd say over half the games I have came as gifts, freebies, or from cheap indie bundles (where the average cost of the game was $1 or less). Another 40% or so I played pretty much to completion or spent significant amounts of time on (relative to the type of game/length). Only about ten or so have I bought outside of indie bundles/on their own where I ended up not really liking the game at all (and from looking at them I doubt I paid more than $20 total for the lot). Out of the indie bundle games I'd say about half I found worthwhile fun (some extremely good), and the other half I probably could have done without.

  7. You forgot another MHC game. THAT'S IT CALLING OFF THIS WHOLE INTERNET BROMANCE. :rpgcodex:

I've done exactly 0 categorization on my Steam games. They're just sorted by default alphabetically and I'm too lazy to do a writeup of which ones I've loved/hated. I will take a picture of my games with the most played time and do a short writeup for shits and giggles though! Time to lose some kool kredits.
TF2. Most of that time was from idling. I'm not proud, but it gave me a few extra games so what the hell. Actual play time would still be 100+ hours though.

FNV. That's the amount of time I spent with an NCR character through the campaign and all DLC, and a Legion character through the campaign, and some generic fucking around. At some point I'll probably play through with a neutral and/or House character.

MW2 MP. Playing with bros. Oh oh, the heli oh copter.

Plants VS Zombies. Fair amount of that was idling too. Got a wild hair up my ass to leave it running in the greenhouse mode with the snail hopped up on chocolate to farm coins. Can't even remember why.

Dawn of War 2. Played more MP and last stand than I had any right to. What's terrible is how much time I spent in the base game plus both expansions. I didn't even like the game that much. WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING.

Borderlands. As I've mentioned on here before I didn't like it at first, then it really tickled my loot whoring bone. Actual playtime is probably 100+ hours as I had played through it on a pirated copy before I bought it on Steam. Has flaws but I got hooked.

Star Trek Online. I just REALLY LIKE THE SPACE COMBAT AND DUTY OFFICER STUFF OK DON'T JUDGE ME BROS. The ground combat is pretty much shit, but it's tolerable. Also quite free to play as I haven't spent a penny on it and I don't feel particularly gimped at all.

Skyrim. I LOVE SKYRIM THIS MUCH!

Dawn of War 2 expansion, see Dawn of War 2 for my shame.

Crusader Kings 2. 54 hours played and I never even completed my first game. Haven't played recently since I started to get bogged down once I had three kingdoms attached to my guy, but it's really great.

Left 4 Dead 2, 44 hours played. Even though I liked the setting and atmosphere and ESPECIALLY WEAPON GRAPHICS of the original better, I played the sequel more just because I liked the gameplay tweaks. Also pressing on from my picture for Steam games 'cause I'm on a roll and getting a kick out of this now.

Call of Duty Black Ops multiplayer, 43 hours played. More broing it up with bros, though sell brahsome than MW2. Somehow the game played even worse with dedicated servers than MW2 did without. Got the game for free with hats though so what the shit.

Left 4 Dead 1, 40 hours played. Had fun, played more versus and with more bros than 2.

Defense Grid, 37 hours played. ALMOST HAVE 100% ACHIEVEMENTS. ONE DAY DEFENSE GRID. ONE DAY. Also the best tower defense game I've ever played.

Killing Floor, 37 hours played. Really enjoyed it, but unfortunately my internet has gotten shittier since I bought it and 90% of all servers time out as soon as I join them. Pretty much can't play it any longer.

Torchlight, 36 hours played. Went through once, and dicked with a few other characters but never did a second complete play.

Saints Row 3, 35 hours played. Stupid silly fun. Will probably play again on hard difficulty later since I enjoyed it so much.

Deus Ex Human Revolution, 31 hours played. Went through once, not sure I'll go through again. Enjoyed it while it lasted.

Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers, 28 hours played. Used to play MTG in physical form yeeeeeears ago. The AI is good enough in these DotP games to put up a good fight, and the decks are mostly entertaining though pre-built. Spending $10 for the game and roughly 10 decks is acceptable to me since I like the basic gameplay of MTG but can't be assed to pay the cost for the actual cards or bother trying to find real people to play against who are fun but not completely insane MTG nerds.

Mount and Blade Warband, 27 hours played. Never did fully conquer the world. Love the game but didn't play as much of it as I did the original when it was new to me.

    Brink, 27 hours played. I DON'T KNOW.

Dungeons of Dredmor, 26 hours played. Quality isn't really as good as the best free roguelikes, but I still enjoy it.

Dawn of War 2 Chaos Rising, 26 hours played. THE SHAME.

Command and Conquer Red Alert 3, 25 hours played. Went through the campaigns. It was ok I guess? Bought it for $5 I believe. There are worse games.

Bioshock 2, 24 hours played. Unlike most of the Codex I really enjoyed Bioshock 1, and surprisingly enough also enjoyed the sequel.

Portal 2, 23 hours played. Was under 20 hours until the recent Steam Workshop thing and map creator. PROTTLES.

Nation Red, 23 hours played. Really enjoy this damn score attack arcade shooter.

    Ugh, that's enough of that.

My time played stats are all messed up from leaving my computer on and walking away to do other stuff. But my top 10 played games:

    1. EU III
    2. Blood Bowl (Dark Elf and Legendary Edition combined)
    3. Mount & Blade (base and Warband combined)
    4. Dragon Age: Origin
    5. Crusader Kings II
    6. Jagged Alliance II
    7. Fallout: New Vegas
    8. Neverwinter Nights II
    9. Rome: Total War
    10. Terraria

The top 3 are all firmly locked in place, each beating the number 4 contender by at least 50 hours. Crusader Kings II will almost certainly steal the number four spot from surprise contender DA: O. I only played DA: O once, but I finished it and did most of the sidequests and it's a pretty long game.

JA II, featuring the GOAT turn-based combat, leads the bottom half of the top 10. The rest of the games are only separated by a few hours.

JA II, Rome, and Neverwinter Nights II were played previous sans Steam, so it's likely they'd each jump a couple of spots if I were able to include those hours.

Steam isn't 100% accurate with the hours, at least for me. I had many hours poured into some games (mostly Civilization), but at some point or another in the past two years things got reset.

Even with that, Civ:BTS is still my #1 game with 74.5 hours.

damn, and I thought I spent to much time playing some games.

    1. Killing Floor - 136.7 hrs
    2. Fallout New Vegas - 69.7 hrs
    3. Spellforce 2: Gold Edition - 64.1 hrs
    4. Gothic 3 - 52.3 hrs
    5. Kings Bounty The legend - 50.3 hrs
    6. Divinity 2 - The dragon Knight Saga - 46.4 hrs
    7. Warhammer 40k DOW 2 - 44.5 hrs
    8. Risen - 39.8 hrs
    9. Deus Ex : HR 39 hrs
    10. King Arthur - The Roleplaying Wargame - 38.9 hrs

I think this time is a bit off since I know I played TF 2 and CS:S for long periods as well yet they show as 0 hrs played.

  12. Steam didn't use to track your total time played on games, it only tracked time for the last two weeks, and after that it lost it. Only fairly recently (In the last 2-3 years, I think) did they start keeping a record of ALL time. Well, all online time. If you wanted to tinfoil hat it I don't think they keep track of offline-mode time.

Actually as an example, Steam says I have no time played on HL2 Episode 2 even though I've played and beaten it. So they must've started keeping track of time played after that point.

I think they do track offline mode as well. At least, I went out of 'net range for vacation this last weekend and Steam still somehow remembered my playtime in CKII.

Most of my most played games are not on Steam (frex, I have hardly any RPGs there). I just looked which ones topped my statistics there, and the top 10 look like this:

Yikes! I didn't notice that I had wasted that much time on CiM.

a number connected to hours played last week, for example, 38h total playtime gives you a 10.0 rating. if you play less you get less rating. call it the no-life multiplier.

I hate how I can't compare my steam penis, I played Red Orchestra for hundreds of hours and now it shows I've played it for 53 hours. Now Dota 2 is at it's rightful place on the top with 230 hours. TF2 at 26 hours (full playtime), fuck that shit. :rpgcodex: If I suddenly get an urge to play Paradox games again I might rack up some mighty hours there, I played EU 3 from disc mostly, no Steam stats for it yet.

Offtopic: Has someone played Space Marine multiplayer recently? Is it still the horrible laggy and unbalanced POS it was when I tried it?
