300 hours of Oblivion?!?! Also how the fuck could you possibly get 300 hours out of Witcher? Wouldn't even take half that time to do all three paths Order/Scoitel/Neutral and that's even if you had the patience since they're mostly the same.

It's meaningless -- just based on time played.

Only 28 hours of Dragon Age II? You mean you've been trolling us all this time Konjad? At least you have a lot time for Twitcher and Total War series when it was still good. I won't say anything about Oblivious since I put in 100 hours into Fallout 3 with all the DLC myself(modded as fuck to make it semi palatable) but even rushing it as I was such games just take an inordinate amount of time to finish so the normal time comparison to other games just doesn't count. Everything just takes 3 or 4 times as long to do in a Beth hiking simulator than in another kind of RPG. I'm sure if you transferred all the content of Fallout to Fagbryo you'd find it would take 50+ hours to finish.

  8. Rage is worth $8. As is New Vegas, though I'd say just wait for a deal that includes the DLC. Brink... Probably not. I play it once in a while against bots and have a decently good time, but not sure I'd really recommend it. And no idea on Hunted. Been interested but hasn't gotten cheap enough on Steam for me to grab it. Also not sure retail copies activate on Steam for that one.

None of the deals are amazing. Except for Rage they've all been cheaper at other times and I'm sure will be again during the Summer Sale. Also they were in that Quake Con pack last year and probably will be again.

Hunted is repetitive as fuck, though the banter between your heroes is pretty good. I actually finished it by playing in short doses and it's ok for that. If you get it as part of some deal then go for it, but $8 is too much for it alone.

1: League of Legends - 814.3 hours. Actual number is Way, waaaaaay higher since i haven't been playing it through steam for ages. I think I may have kicked the habit for good though
2: Massu Effectu 2 - 138.4hrs. Most of it is idling as it stopped my computer from shutting down and I accidentally left it running for 4 days while I went on an extended weekend trip to London
    3: Elder scrolls SKYRIM - 66.1hrs. I want to be a dragonborn.
4: Champions Online - 62.4hrs. Played a bunch with friends when it was first released. Didn't renew after free month. No desire to play again.
5: Team fagtress 2 - 48.5hrs. Pretty ok but the influx of weird hats ruined the clean look and the influx of derpy noobs ruined the game.
6: Crusader Kings II - 47.1hrs. And that's in a week and a half :bounce:
7: Desu Ex: HR - 34.6hrs. 2 playthroughs. One normal and one no kills/ghost run.
8: Blood Bowl: LE - 30.4hrs. Codex cup and my LP.
9: DoW Retribution - 29 hrs. Good for what it is. Didn't bother with MP much
10: Dawn of War II - 28 hrs. Same
11: Dawn of War: Chaos rising - 27.8hrs. Ditto.
12: Fallout: New Vegas - 27.4hrs. Good for what it is, kinda overrated.
13: Alien Swarm - 23.4hrs. I liked the original better, but this was a mild incline. Never got around to playing many custom maps.
14: Magicka - 23.2hrs. Time spent "accidentally" killing my friends: ~22.8 hrs
15: Kings Bounty: Crossworlds - 19.5hrs. Stopped around the 4th island because it had gotten extremely same-y

New Dredmor expansion released for free -- mostly just a collection of modder work polished by Gaslamp.

I have a Dredmor key I got from one of the bundles. I'm utterly uninterested in the game so if anyone wants it, let me know.

You have no soul. Also the base game and the first expansion are 70% off to accompany the release of the free DLC (for anyone that doesn't get villain's key!).

455 hours of Dota 2, 210 hours of Team Fortress 2 (I bought it way back when it first came out and played it a lot), 185 hours of Left 4 Dead 2, 170 hours of Quake Wars, 74 hours of Anno 2070. None of the other games on my Steam account seem to be higher than 25 or so, enough to be significant.

edit- 74 hours of Killing Floor, 106 hours New Vegas, 56 Borderlands

Very generic action game but also fun. It won't blow your mind but the action is decent and it's nice that you can switch between two characters, one specialising in melee and the other with bows. Co-op has the potential to be fun but I didn't try it at all. It's also nice that you can wander a bit off the beaten path to tackle some dungeons with puzzles. Nothing ground breaking there but it breaks the monotony. Try to get it cheap if you have any interest at all. You won't miss much if you never pick it up, but if you do it's pretty nice to spend a rainy week-end. Also boobs.

How does it compare to say DS3 or Amalur?

I haven't played any of these unfortunately, but if you tell me that DS3 has boobs I'll definitely look into it soon. Amalur, I only played the demo and I wasn't too impressed by the boobs, but I did appreciate that your female avatar could run around the countryside in a thong. E'lara (yet another fucking elf name with an apostrophe!) is clearly fan service, though I guess it could have been far more blatant. At least you can enjoy her signature twirl when the two heroes have to traverse a fissure in a wall. At least they juggle when you turn.

  22. Been waiting for a $5 sale on Steam. Figured it was probably worth that for dumb action.

Whoa, I need to play DS3!

Anyway, combat-wise, I still haven't touched DS3 and only the Amalur demo. The last one also played like an action game but you had more choices with skills. One of the cool things with Hunted, and it's a shame that the game is so generic, is that the skills of the 2 characters work well together. Simple exemple: Caddoc, the melee brute, has a skill that will lift every enemy in a certain radius around him in the air, during which time they are helpless and take more damage from arrows. E'lara, the ranged elf girl in slutty outfit, has a skill that lets her shoot an exploding arrow, which is perfect to use when Caddoc uses his previously mentioned skill. In a reverse situation, Caddock may have trouble with enemies wielding a shield, and will often need to wear their shield down before he can actually hit them properly, but E'lara can shoot an arcane arrow that destroys shields and will make it easier for Caddoc to kill the baddies. There aren't too many skills and spells but they are useful in many situations, and can often create opportunities for the other character. Again this should be more fun in co-op but the AI seem to take advantage of that, unless it was just lucky when I played it.

Wait for it, it gets better: While I gave a Steam key for Dredmor to DwarvenFood, I found out that there was also a Desura key in the bundle. So, if anybody else wants a free Dredmor from Desura, let me know.
