Who would use crappy Desura versus all power GabeN's Steam?

 

Paradox publisher weekend sale! All Paradox games 50% off, with daily increased deals. Sounds like it's finally going to be time for EU3. And maybe Warlock, might do that for $10.

 

Rawr, beaten! Wait on Warlock, if it doesn't hit $5 during this promotion it certainly will during the Summer Sale.

 

Warlock is a $20 game? Colour me surprised.

 

Paradox is going that route with their digital download titles -- make them cheap but produce a bunch of DLC.

 

Yeah, probably will wait on it even though $10 is within temptation range. Especially since I'll probably jump on EU3 even if it doesn't hit a daily during this sale just because I've had a bro hounding me about how much better EU3 is compared to CK2 and I wanna see if he's full of shit.

 

He's full of shit. Playing Austria and gaining multiple unions, together with map painting is really really fun, however the end game - like most Paradox games - sucks. You can't go wrong with EUIII, but it's not CKII.

 

Still might not get anything during this Paradox promotion considering it's bound to be the same discount during the Summer Sale and there's a chance at more Paradox promotion in Amazon's June sale.

 

HAIL GABEN! I was just thinking about buying A House Divided and For the Motherland. I guess I'll wait to see if either goes on the daily deals list. Too bad the Islam is the Light of the World CKII DLC isn't out yet.

Also, to anyone that might know... is King Arthur II any good? It seems to have poor metacritic reviews, but metacritic is often wrong.

 

I'm going to wait to see what the daily deals are, but I'm sure I'll pick something up.

How is Warlock now? I heard it was buggy on release, but have they fixed it at all since then? I want to buy it when it's -75% off.

Anyone played Commander: Conquest of the Americas? Is it any good? I'm really interested in it.

Damn. Sounds like the daily deals for the Paradox sale are gonna be King Arthur, Magicka, Mount and Blade, and finally Crusader Kings 2 (Judging by what they said in a video stream). Probably gonna have to hop on EU3 at only half-off.

 

Damn, I was hoping for some steeper markdowns on other titles. Guess I'll just hold off on some of them til the summer sale of doom.

 

I've been curious about King Arthur. 12.5EuroJewgold for the entire series + DLC is too tempting to pass up.

Still pretty goddamn tempted to do something rash and buy it at $10. Did like the demo, and they're singing a seductive song for the full version. In fact I'm kinda more interested in Warlock than I am in the Civ5 expansion.

 

It's still going to be another few months before Warlock reaches it's full potential. That and they're going to milk it with DLC. I'd hold off until at least 75% off.

 

I liked the original well enough to play the campaign one and a half times. My first start was as Christian, but that is a bit difficult as a start. Pagan is easier, and that's what I finished. The victory conditions are weird, as you have to hold certain positions on the map to gain a morale advantage. I never played any of the DLC, even though I have it. The text adventures are somewhat cool, though, even if rather simplistic. I am sure that I haven't found out everything you can do with your army leaders.

Nevertheless, I'm somewhat curious about Arthur II. The new flying units and kill moves look stupid, though, so I'm on the fence, even at that price.

 

Just bought King Arthur II, even though I haven't finished the first one. Fucking Steam, man.

 

RK47 started lping it on the playground, but generally preferred the first?

Anyone know what the king arthur 1 fallen champions dlc is like? Only one I haven't got.

The HD update of Majesty 1 wasn't flawless. As you mentioned, they could have adjusted the scale of the UI. If you're interested in the Majesty stuff I'd just wait it out another couple of weeks. Sale is probably going to start the week of the 25th.

Majesty HD update is still preferable to playing regular Majesty 1, namely because it also fixes all issues Majesty had with modern machines such as super fast scrolling. You can also play it at lower resolutions if you want. ALSO worth mentioning the game is zoomed out in that picture. Here's a screenshot I took of the game at default zoom at 1920X1080.
Interface is still small, but eh.


And it's your duty to buy it because Majesty 1 is just that good.
