LA Noire is absolute shit. Glad I tried it before I bought it. Every case is the same shit. I can only repeat chore activities so often. If you want me to repeat something, then give me a fluid sports game.

Which brings me to another point, why the fuck do games have such terrible controls these days? It's more immersion breaking than anything I can think of.

  3. Some rumblings on CAG pointing toward Steam summer sale starting tomorrow and not the rumored July 12th. TF2 apparently (Actually have it uninstalled now after cashing my hats out) just updated and added summer keys which expire on July 11th, and two summer bundle packs have been added to the registry.

FINGERS CROSSED BROS. I might, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe be interested in that Stardock pack, but they've been pretty terrible about running good deals on Steam so we shall see. It'll probably be something stupid like $40, essentially making it "Buy Rebellion and get Demigod and galciv2 free". At $20 I'd at least think about it though there'd still be room for me to talk myself out of it because fuck Stardock and their games.

It was the same in GTA IV. I think it comes down to their physics engine being tied into character animation so strongly - there's so much momentum that you end up stumbling around like some sort of drunk moron all the time. I ran into walls and other people in GTA IV more than I did any other game ever because of how stupidly imprecise it is. It's the most laughably impotent attempt to make the game more "realistic" ever - hurr durr, people have trouble walking in a straight line, right?

July 12th, that indie developer clearly let it slip. The fact that the TF2 promotion ends on the 11th is yet another dead giveaway. That and no new games are being released from July 4th to July 24th.

It seems Amazon gave me a bunch of new Steam keys for Victoria II and Sword of Stars for some reason. Since I've got them both already, I'll share here with codex bros.

    Vicky 2: E4L0X-T2EJH-2E94M, FBZ3C-47YHK-BA7PY, FWWDN-9W8VB-5T4ME
    Sword of Stars: F5XQE-EZ4ID-5DY0Y, FQ5TY-J4AC3-JZ09E

Blah, 2nd SoTS code taken. Accursed lurkers.

  16. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B008FPV88U/ Max Payne 3 Steam key $30

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085NTITS Spec Ops the Line Steam key $25

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B008G0ZVLE $20 Paradox Pack (All Steam keys)

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008G0ZDZI $12.50 Paradox pack (All Steam keys)

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B008G0ZXSK/ $7.50 Paradox pack (All Steam keys)

    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00846E6X4 $3 X-Com pack (Steam key(s))

Your best bet for cheaps if you want the Paradox games would be $12.50 and $7.50 packs combined. If anyone happens to buy a Paradox pack that has SotS2 they don't want I'd be happy to take it off their hands. And I'm fairly sure Metro's looking for SotS1.
Seems like good deals though. Snagged Max Payne 3 and the $7.50 pack and already gave away the Majesty games and am giving away the CK2 DLC (Earmarked at the moment). Warlock's giving a good impression.

Edit: CK2 DLC is indeed up for grabs now. Dynasty Shields, Songs of Albion, Songs of Faith, Ruler Designer, and Songs of the Holy Land. Gimme a PM (And make a post if nobody else has so others know they're gone/earmarked) if you want them.

Mongol faces is mysteriously taken. M:

I got a spare SotS key. Lemme know if you want it.

I also got a Vicky II key to spare if anyone wants it.

In both cases, I'll use PM so some random lurker doesn't steal games from BROs :bro:

So what exactly can one expect from a Steam Sale? I'm only a recent(forced)convert so don't know if you get some real crazy bargains or it's just a bunch of shit that down to a dorrah and the decent stuff just 50% off or something.

EDIT: Thanks for the CK2 DLC Multi-Headed Cow! :bro:

  19. If no other bros want it, I'd take it. Would rather preference go to someone who's more likely to play it (Sooner) than I am though, since EU3 is still baffling me Vicky 2 would probably be murder. Wouldn't even really attempt it until I've got EU3 well under control.

I was foolish to buy ck2 when it first came out. 12.50 for it and victoria is a steal. I would challenge you for the vic key cowkun but I know you have a count to maintain so I won't.

Depends bro. Some decent stuff will be 50% off. Other decent stuff will be 75+% off. There will most certainly be some great deals.

Could also use a Vicky II key, but am fine if it goes to MHC, may his Steam collection bloat know no end.

  25. Nah, Tripjack and Angthoron can have a knife fight for the Vicky 2 key. Like I said it'd probably be quite a while before I got around to trying it, so probably best some other bro has it.
