Ok, so here's the weird question: Is Unreal Tournament 3 fun to play with bots? I remember playing first one long time ago and having real good time with those pretty smart artificial dudes.

I don't mind creepy modding but the Tenth Doctor and the Tardis in Oblivion are where I draw the line.

It's probably not anything special, if you joined the summer camp group (and why wouldn't you!?) you'd be hearing their whole stupid little story. And then Gordon and Alyx have first person unskippable non-cutscene sex where you're staring at Alyx's face as Gordon thrusts and you wiggle your mouse left and right to shake your head no no no and blinking your flashlight but Gaben doesn't care, you're watching this whole scene until it's over mister.

Just fetched my discs. The CD key that came with them 8 years ago won't activate on steams

ideally there should be a new knockout deal every day but so far there hasn't been a single one except for the 90% railworks thing which made the ZERO train fans here very happy and no mhc is not a train fan he's just a buying stuff from steam fan

Tried the demo and didn't get past the main menu. Couldn't even see the mouse cursor, that doesn't bode well for a console port.

Force disable vsync, and if you tear cap your fps to 58-59, should be better. I use nvidia inspector for that, don't know about ATI.
(Or get a pad. I'm a M&K lover, but AssCreeds just play a lot better with a pad)

Guy finally sent me the Stardock pack. Guess he had to wait for his ruskie supplier to wake up. Way too late to actually play anything tonight, but at least I can get it downloading and rev up my bitching engine as I look at Rebellion tomorrow.

Still haven't decided on UT shit. Not only not fucking with discs, but not fucking with patches. IIRC UT2K4 has a hell of a lot of patching if you've got an initial retail copy and not Editor's Gold of the Year edition. Also not sure how much (If at all) I'd play them again. Even with UT3's faults it's good enough for loading up for some dumb deathmatching.

Sure it is. It's slower and clunkier than previous UTs, but if you want speed and fluidity you'd be better served by Quake 3 anyway. UT3's ok for what it is.
