I don't remember making this post. Apparently I bought around 7 games for myself, and started giving gifts to people for no reason. However, that's not the most terrifying thing of all...

When I loaded up steam today, I found Train Simulator 2013 an EVERY PIECE OF DLC FOR IT in my cart. Do you have any idea how long it takes to remove over 800 kwabux worth of trains from your shopping cart one by one, since steam doesn't have an 'empty cart' button?

    A long fucking time.

You just have to set up a fake address, amazon don't seem to check it. Go for a state with no general sales tax and google for PO boxes etc.
Also if you buy MP3 for 20$ you're not a Real Gamer, wait for it to get expensive again!

Only thing I might consider today (outside of whatever the new flash deals bring) is Awesomenauts. Although that could just end up in a bundle, too.

What is it with central European devs and starting you off in a big chaotic fight. I hated it in Gothic 3 and I hate it in Potatwitcher

Can I have a room where I can learn what the buttons do and set all my graphics options and keymaps please. You don't have to put it in the narrative of the game at all. These potatos drop kick a newborn deer trying to stand

They ninja-reverted the discount on Witcher 2 so now it's only 50% off at $15 versus the 60% and $12 it was the other day.

Not that it matters, but they did the same for Two Worlds Epic Edition from 75% to 50%.

That was actually a flash sale, though (the entire Two Worlds franchise).

Well, if not again this sale, 100% certainty in December.

  12. Damn. Looks like my shady nameless Russians have failed me. Did get my money refunded but I guess that price WAS too unbelievable.
Guess I'll grit my teeth and wade into the Amazon thread and see if I can wrestle an answer out of that guy.

He just seems to be overwhelmed and isn't catching all the deals on Steam - I'd PM him with a link to the game on Steam. Someone had to show him the Max Payne 3 season pass discount before he matched it. I plan to do the same if the Warlock stuff hits 75% off.

Re: sale at large, looking through my wishlist really doesn't look like I'll grab much of anything else. Probably just wait and see if the upper end stuff I want hits better discounts during the Holiday sale.

  17. Good idea. I'll wait a few hours since I just made a post, then I'll chuck a PM at him later this evening if he hasn't replied.
Also thought to check my email and I got a reply from the guy saying he might actually be able to get the bundle in a few days and he'll make a post if he does. So even if Amazon falls through there's still some hope. Not sure I'd go for it at the $17.50 listed on Steam since I basically only want the RPG anyway.

Still a few things I'd be interested in during this sale and probably some things I'll buy at their current price if they don't get a better deal before the end. And of course tempted by a bunch of adventure games I'd probably leave unplayed for years because I'm an idiot, like Book of Unwritten Tales, Resonance, and the Dark Eye.
And THAT DAMN DIN'S CURSE. SITTING THERE TAUNTING ME.

Edit: Hmm. Amalur bundle is missing in the first Amazon thread post.

Ravaged already 66% off after a month, that must have flopped.

Back in Action isn't that bad. It's very mediocre, actually. Carrying the Jagged Alliance name is its worst problem.

I liked the original Dark Fall (The Journal). Puzzles were on the easy side, but it had a decent horror atmosphere. Haven't played Lights Out yet, but from what I hear it's more of the same.

Tried to play Lost Souls - the game you linked - but the transition from instant movement between screens to loading times often in excess of 5 seconds for each screen (in a Myst-like game, so you're moving between screens a lot) made it enough of a pain to play that I lost interest before getting very far. Though that was on my old computer, haven't tried it on this one yet. I also remember something from reviews about fighting evil spirits with a pair of rusty scissors, which sounds pretty derpy and like it would seriously detract from the horror component. (In the original there weren't any direct confrontations with the antagonist, which works well for this sort of game IMO.)

Velvet Assassin is pretty good and challenging and it's for 1.24€ only. Get it, it's like Splinter Cell, except I like it more due to the atmosphere and higher difficulty. Morphine usage for freezing time for a few seconds is stupid, but it's rare enough. Moreover I like that in direct combat you don't stand chances against any soldier, you are forced to sneak to them unseen and take them down one by one, once anyone sees you, you're dead (unlike in Splinter Cell, where you could actually kill enemies like in an FPS game, it wasn't easy, but it wasn't that difficult either).
