Has anyone bought the license yet?

 

After playing free version, I wouldn't buy it even for 0,99€.

I regret even an electricity bill I wasted for downloading it. It's one of the worst games I ever played.

 

I dunno, I found it good mindless fun up until around halfway through, when I realised I'm going to do the exact same shit I've been doing for the first half in the second half as well. That's more or less when I dropped it.

One thing that really, absolutely pissed me off though, was interruptions. Maybe I just fucking sucked at the game but holy shit how I raged when my attacks got interrupted by an arrow that shaves off 1% of your health, by an enemy that you can't see due to the low FoV. I almost shoved a remote up my ass this one time.

 

Agree, it's a complete piece of garbage.

 

Believe me, it's really that bad.

Every line of the code is screaming the pain and shouts shits at you. It hurts to play this abomination.

 

The lore is okay, but it's a chore to dig into it.

 

Picked up Far Cry 3 Deluxe from a ruskie reseller for $24. Cheap enough for me, especially since it sounds like mods have fixed it. Seriously, look at that goddamn mod. Sounds miles better.

 

I'm sure it's not Arcania bad, people are posturing for Kodex Kreds. Will buy sub $10.

 

I would not pick up Amalur even for 5 eurobucks.

For some reason I had Skyrim "Available now!" on the front page. Did they just make it available in potatoland?
Also these prices are seriously fuck up

 

Arcania is an ideal game compared to Amalur.

Imagine it. A game that the Arcania the Shit Story feels like a masterpiece in comparision.

Don't make me put you back on ignore for having shit opinions. I played the Amalur demo. The combat and engine alone are better than Arcania.

I actually never ran into mud on my first playthrough.

 

Amalur isn't complete shit, just really easy (many codex favorites are easy games, in any case). The game itself is an average Fable-clone.

Fable is an average ARPG itself, people go ARRRGH UTTER SHIT because of Molyneux's bullshitz.

edit: Today it's Far Cry franchise. That means tomorrow it'll be either Might and Magic or Assassin's Creed...

 

Look, if the facts aren't enough for you, I can't help you further to avoid spending money on shit games. The second option is that you actually enjoy shit.

 

I never got why Fable TLC was not absolutely panned by everyone. I thought it was a really lame RPG, yet in a lot of circles it's held up as revolutionary or something.

 

Maybe Cenega is finally out of the picture and people will be able to buy DLCs on release instead of "someday."

 

On another note, my Steam is completely fucked up. It can't download or install anything, first it crashed, now it just suspends the downloads immediately or never gets past the "preparing files for download" phase. Also the frontpage is complete garbage, colours off and wrong (like playing older PC games and not setting them up properly, all pink and green and blue), wrong text everywhere. Annoying, but at least I have everything I want installed.

 

It's not so much an ARPG as it is a Zelda (modern/3D Zelda) clone. Very shallow. A lot of pointless mechanics. Generic/Childish Fantasy story. OMG THE HEROES GUILD!

 

Try going to your Steam folder and deleting clientregistry.blob. That PROBABLY won't fix it but it's the usual first step if Steam is possessed by the devil.

Second option is to go to your Steam folder and delete everything but the Steamapps folder (Also save userdata if you want to save your non-clouded screenshots). Steamapps being the games themselves. Then download Steam and install it to the same location. It'll either pick up your already installed Steam games automatically, or you have to tell Steam to download/install them and then it'll realize the files are there and grind for a minute or two verifying the files and then it'll be ok.

 

Tried some Far Cry 3. Think I made a terrible mistake buying it for $24 after messing with it for an hour, even with that mod. It's possible it'll improve since I'm still basically in tutorial it looks like but eh. Feeling like it would've been a better $10 buy which is my general happy range for crappy shooters. I was bamboozled. I was hornswaggled. (i was a fool to think it would be better than this, learn from my mistakes, don't do what multi-headed cow does)
