Dumb question, but is BG EE actually worth buying if you've never played the original game? I've played BG2, but never BG1.

Should I rather just get BG1 on GoG?

buy standard bg then, ee is mainly just fuckload of bugs that did not exist in the original. as for high res and other stuff, there are mods for original, so you won't miss anything

Another good indication is when various games suddenly start updating at the same time, which happened to Serious Sam 3: BFE, Team Fortress 2, Left4Dead 2, Trine 2, Anomaly: Warzone Earth in my client.

edit: also it looks like the original music files were exchanged for even shittier MIDI. Oh Squeenix, why do you always have to fuck up everything?

 

That entire % is probably made only of testers... that's the only way you get that 4% killed Ultima Weapon, but only 2% ever used Cloud's Limit Break...

 

Its just a shitty repack of old port that works on modern systems

it is one eventually, actually. i want to do fc3 itself first.
coming next is dead space 3.

 

Only logical conclusion would be that they lost the original music files and couldn't add them as a result, but that can't possibly be the case... although, you know, they could have always ripped them from the PS1 version. Then again it's quite clear SE put zero effort into this "updated" port past adding the achievements and cloud save support. Hell, it's not even detecting all the buttons on same gamepads like 360 certified ones.
