Strange. I put the Deadpool game on my wishlist (because I might be inclined to buy if the price drops down low enough) but now it appears to be gone from Steam.

I'm familar with games being unavailable in some countries/areas, and I'm familar with titles being pulled from Steam for licensing reasons... but why Deadpool? And which of the aforementioned reasons makes it unavailable to me?

Yeah they lost the license, a bunch of people went fucking nuts buying it at the steamkey sale price on gamefly (~$8) the day it was removed, others realised that being removed from steam didn't suddenly make it a better game.

    Well, huh.

Not much chance of finding a retail copy of it for the PC, is there?

Uh, I wanted to pick Deadpool on a bigger discount. Lego Marvel is still up on Steam, though.

It's a pretty shitty game. Why anyone would want it is beyond me.

I've seen snippets of gameplay here and there. Everything points to it being a shitty game, but it's funny, which is becoming a rarity in video games nowadays.

On a related note: X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The game. This might actually be the only X-Men related game that's any good, or from what I hear. Can anyone here tell me more?

It's a p.fun game that made me laugh in more than one occasion. Totally worth a playthrough.

It'd be worth a fiver. I had fun with it - pretty gruesome, too.

Played it long ago but I remember having fun with it, which was against my expectations for this type of game (movie spinoff, that is). Decent slasher in the vein of DMC. Ripping dudes apart with claws was satisfying.

It was fun, yeah. Didn't expect a film license game to be any good, but all of a sudden it was pretty decent.

TBH everything anyone's ever shown me of Deadpool, the game included, has me convinced that he's designed to appeal to 13 year olds and manchildren. OMG LOL SORANDOM WITH A SIDE OF EDGY HOLY SHIT 4TH WALL ROTFL. Maybe I've just been unlucky in what I've been shown, but the panels posted here aren't really convincing me of that.

I mean fuck, this trailer is one of the most tryhard things to come out of an industry chock-full of tryhard:

So it's some new age trying too hard to be hipster/self-aware sarcastic super hero comic? Gotcha.

It started as a self-aware character joking on how retarded the industry is... like when he killed Wolverine: "you don't survive because of your healing factor, but because you're popular. But here, on a alternate universe, not even fanboys care if you live or die."

But now the jokes on him, as he became extremely popular and Marvel milked him to death, doing every tired trope and trying to appeal to the lowest denominator, as always...

Cold War just released on Steam. Anyone know if it's any good? I had it years ago but couldn't get it running on my computer back then.
