Looks like my previous comments about wasting resources on releasing prettified screenshots/videos were more accurate than I thought. :M

There's already an option if you want that oversaturated crap like in those old screens, none for the uberblur yet. Not that you'd be able to get a shot of highpool from that angle to compare anyway. But I do notice a lot less foliage, wonder why they toned it down so much.

Compute power has been commodity for 3-5 years. Very few games will fully utilize all cores on an overclocked i920 for example. My kid's PC is an i920 running at 3.8Ghz and ~1500Mhz memory. Other than video editing and rendering, almost nothing taxes that 4+ year old machine. So I reject any notion that a newer system should be required to run modern games efficiently. GPU is a different story.

You guys probably don't know this but those of us who helped out on the Veteran's Advisory Panel got to have a Ranger named after us. I just saw one of the Rangers with the name of a dude that was on the panel, and I flipped my shit. I don't know why that was so weird/funny.

I am not buying or supporting WL2 for its fucking graphics. They are good enough, and in some cases pretty nice.

game design protip: when your pathfinding sucks, don't include a bunch of goats that will follow the player around and permanently block his movement in tight corners.
2.8mio gbp last time i checked the backer site, so more like 5mio game.

Okay.... so. I've come to the prison.. but how the fuck are you supposed to get in there and kill dis Darforth guy or whatever... I can't get past the turrets in the front, and I'ved tried finding every other way in, but it leads to dead ends..

Oh, but it's not only graphics. Planetary Annihilation is huge and innovative in its interplanetary warfare. Oh, and has fully destructible planets. Elite Dangerous is massive and complex. JA:F has open maps, better combat (although its still far from finished), day and night cycle and (will soon have) stealth and destructible environmet.

And W2 has... a lot of writers and a live-action intro cinematic...

And i would totally prefer Seprent-in-the-Staglands-like graphics over that 3D diarrhea.

Boy, I still remember the complaints about W2 looking too "cartoony". If it looked like JA:F, which is indeed "cartoony" for what it's worth, I imagine a lot of Codexers would have a heart attack.

only the idiots that expect it to be a fallout rather than wasteland sequel, though.

Don't be such a grinch bro... Have you even tried the game yet on hardest difficulty? :D.. I'm not even complaining.. I'm applauding the devs for making the game hard, as it should be.
