I don't really recall a porn with better writing. Except maybe Sengoku Rance but that depends on your tolerance of anime tropes and art.

"Dozen of people are dying on the street as we speak, the city is on fire, and I want YOU, you big stud who I meet five minutes ago, to have zero-sex gravity with me, right here and now."

You also get to cuck Detlaff and cheat on your partner, because why the fuck not?

Literally what fuck. If it was Bioware who did something like this, we would have a 50 pages threads mocking them, but since it's CD Projekt darling it is suddenly good.

Who cares? They just wanted to stick a sex scene somewhere, and that's as good a place for it as any. She's probably facing a death sentence the moment they leave that place, they've just been through a rather unique adventure and a life-threatening battle together, and Geralt is one of the few people in her life who has been even trying to understand what she has gone through. It's a fitting end to a light-hearted adventure sequence, even if it's of course a bit dumb in the context of what is happening outside (then again, they wanted to handwave it all away with the different flow of time and shit anyway). There's also foreplay all over that quest, you have to be a Codexer blind to not see it.

The difference between BioWare and CDPR writers is that the potatoes have actually got laid at some point in their life, and it shows everywhere in the writing. BioWare writes super serious Disney romances, CDPR writes these intentionally ridiculous tongue-in-cheek scenes where sex is usually impulsive, somewhat silly and doesn't necessarily mean all that much to either participant, kind of like in real life or something. That's why the former is mocked and the latter isn't.

That one is terrible. Possibly the worst of them though, so it'll only get better from now on. ;)

They explain to you at the beginning of the sequence that you don't need to hurry because time flows differently inside the illusion.

You also get to cuck Detlaff and cheat on your partner, because why the fuck not?

Geralt doesn't have to have a partner at that point and Detlaff is a kind of a dick so who cares. Also they give you an option to tell her to fuck.

Who cares?

I do, because it's shitty writing. I've seen better sex scenes in Japanese VN.

It really stuck me because how shitty it was, it's like they wrote the whole expansion without a sex scene and they went "OH SHIT! We forgot to add a vagina. Quick, insert a scene in which we bang someone, doesn't matter who and how!!!".

So much for best writing since Torment. :M

Writing an expansion in Toussaint without the option to revisit the romance with Fringilla Vigo from the books was a crime. She should've been the third main romance option in the game. Considering how strongly Geralt fell for her and that know you have the opportunity to get rid of the wish that binds him to Yenefer. Which may or may not ruined his romance with her in the books (it's up to interpretation).

And I agree that the sex scene with Syanna was terribad, also she is a shit tier waifu so it's not even appealing. I would've prefer to cuck Guilleme and fuck Vivienne or something :P

Did you remember to release the lock-on? I'm sure they will hit you if you try running while still locked on (since Geralt won't run in a straight line then) or stop even for a second.

Right, tried it another 6 times. Turned off the lock-on, tried running in various directions and starting from various moments. The bats still hit no matter what and kill instantly.

If this isn't bugged, it's probably the shittiest design I've ever encountered.

Killed that boss on my third try and bats didn't killed me once. Sprinting around the boss like mad while he starts to summon them is all you need.

Hmm? IIRC Fringilla in order to keep Geralt in Toussaint put a spell on him that made him forget both Ciri and Yennefer. And she also bedazzled herself in order to seduce him, but then she also fell for him. He actually called her Yen a couple of times during sex and eventually he remembered and dumped her. Vigo was so hot for Geralt that the other witches ridiculed her because instead of seducing she eventually got seduced herself. Even with Yen out of the picture the fact that she stopped him from going after Siri using love magic or something, would certainly ruin the romance.

Bah, it's a pretty tacky storyline, but then again the books declined after a certain point.

And besides I wasn't arguing that magic is the strongest. Just that the game makes player rely on weird tactics like that because Geralt's combat animations are too slow to just rely on just getting hit, which makes the game worse than say Dark Souls, which relies mostly on player being able do block/dodge shit and is able to do that because player is faster compared to monsters then Geralt is compared to his enemies.

Good point that.

Honest question:
How much of a womynizer is Geralt in the books actually? I only played Twicher 1+2 (and watched Steve complain about every flower in Twitcher 3), and his behaviour is vastly different between the games. In part one he boink'd anything that couldn't escape to a different plane of existence, in the second his libido had considerably declined, and finally in TW3 he ended up being almost a faithful married man. Just because "moah tits, moah sales" for the first game? The transition from "memory loss" to "mammary loss" was a little too drastic.

As much as the Wine Wars quest sucked, it was a lot of fun seeing the Asterix & Obelix tribute in the Paperchase quest. One of my all time favorite cartoon scenes. :)

In TW1 all the fucking around should basically be viewed as a tongue in cheek card-collecting mini-game. If you look at the 2 actual romantic options, they are both somewhat serious and you actually get to play "family guy" with lil' Alvin.
In TW2 it's more or less the same without the minigame.
In TW3 shit had to get serious because Yennefer and Ciri appeared.

In the books he bangs a couple of chicks here and there, but it's basically all about Yennefer. They fight a lot and separate for long periods (where they sometimes fuck other people) but they always reconcile. He has a thing for sorceresses because *Oedipus* (his mother is one), but he never pursued any of the other witches. Instead most of them tried to seduce him because they were astounded/jealous that Yennefer was with him (basic wonym behavior).

It was explained that in the illusion time is different, days outside means minutes in it, so I think a quickie shouldn't be a problem.

And the bitch already confessed that she never loved the blood sucking cunt, she used him as a tool and only that.

Bad writing? People fucking during bad situtations is not that rare even in real life and women using men as tools and fucking them over, not really a myth...

It's debatable.

Detlaff is an emo teenager.
You know what, I fucking hate how the whole plot is consists of features that CDPR just made up: oh he's a being of immense power but he's really sensitive, oh princess appears to have a sister who just happens to bear with the Curse of the Black Sun, oh a FUCKING ARMY OF VAMPIRES THAT COULD OBLITERATE THE COUNTRY appears from nowhere because Detlaff asked them. Somehow. Because apparently higher vampires can do that now. As well as mutate into eldritch horrors. And cast shadows.

The "time flows differently" thing is retarded as well. We Dragonball Z now.

It's really awful.

I haven't finished B&W yet, but it seems like F2 in the quantity and quality of pop culture references, and like OWB in the quantity and quality of try hard "lulzy" writing.

Can't say that I hate it, but I don't really love it.
