We'll have to wait and see how this works. So far, in most let's plays I've seen, roll-spamming ended in gruesome death, so...

They've been talking about the few loading screens for at least 1.5 years. I don't remember before that.

They are far apart. Reaching them on horse/boat would take too long to make sense in a game. Kaer Morhen is hunderds of kilometres away from Novigrad. Skellige Islands are in open sea. Not far from the main continent in terms of general world distances, but far enough to make real time travel too long for a game.

You're correct. There is only one continent.

Fuck, i didn't know the CE would be that big. I'm glad i got it.

I'm fucked. I see i'll have to give my kidneys to pay import taxes. I already had to pay for my pillars of eternity box, no way there's chance that box will sneak up federal customs...

    Fuck it anyway.

    .Edit:

And I thought the pillars of eternity box was big.

Did they put a life-sized Geralt doll inside that box?

Why would roll spamming result in gruesome death?
Its only that whoever played sucks at playing, its not rolling fault.

Regardless, obviously if the rolling depleted stamina so much that you could do it two or three times during a fight it would be much better.
Naturally, with few potions or leveling up-skill points that could affect and improve that for those that want it.

Then we could nicely combine different dodging moves, signs, potions and stuff.

I had a big screaming fanbois fiesta in this very thread about it all, some pages back.
What i meant with that sentence is to say how they never came out and clarified that their design or plans had changed.

Not that they never mentioned having some loading of separate areas.

Anyway, all of it was completely unnecessary.

If you look at some videos you an see Kaehr Moren is visible on the map, in the north in the mountains. The pic i posted shows the rest because you have to scroll the map a bit which is just enough to move the Kaehr Moren out of view.
There are clearly roads and forests drawn on the map in between it and the rest, just as its the case with the rest of the bigger settlements.

So... if that is actually not a traverasable area then... is the rest?

Skellige islands dont seem that far from the mainland, but regardless - there is no need for completely realistic distances since the game doesnt have any anyway.
But im not arguing for a single map. Im fine with it all being split into several zones. Each is obviously huge and big enough and completely open which is fine as far as im concerned.

I just dont see any need for any kind of "realism" excuses.

Im actually eagerly awaiting the game. I hated the horrible gameplay in the videos and im looking forward to trying to play it properly, slowly, riding around only in canter and stuff.

Will they give any kind of editor for the game this time too?

You know, I can be an AAA fag from time to time and get hyped on things, but my god I cannot into modern gaming mentality. Some guy's stream doing a QA on the game after playing the preview build, and he's asked if there was anything he'd change. His answer: No. NOTHING. HE WOULD CHANGE NOTHING. They even rephrase it into a "is there any flaws at all?" and the guy cannot name a single, tiny flaw. What in the actual fuck? Suddenly, the products we get make perfect sense if this is the feedback they get.

This! Such an easy solution to the problem, and the dumbfucks at CDPR can't figure this out. They could also add in the factor of the armor worn, when it comes to rolling speed and stamina. Just as with Dark Souls.

Or just let the enemies fucking roll too. That'll probably lead to +25 minutes of hilarious, Benny Hill style battles though.

Not sure if this was posted already - a pretty inetresting article about CDProjekt (including Twitcher 3) that also touches on subjects I have not seen covered before, like Arabic localization.

Apparently CDP's global revenue for 2014 was around $18 million, which is pennies in this industry's scale. Hostile takeover when?

EDIT: That is the whole company's revenue, including GOG.com.

Don't see why, not having released anything, I'd hardly expect them to be making much bucks.

Nah, it would be best if it's exclusive to witchers so when the two face off instead of seeing a legendary Highlander-like sword duel they start rolling around like some circus performers. Elven bathouse floor would have sparkled by the time Letho and Geralt were finished rolling around.

There was one boss in TW1 that rolled back when you attacked - that big ghoul O-sth. Was one of the better fights.

The changes to alchemy made sense.
    But what's this:
They changed the signs effect now?

:lol::lol: So pathetic. I guess at least he isn't lying. Still the fact that he tires to say dead bodies rolling of cliffs is some sort of amazing combat interaction makes me

So did Witcher 1! They even took care to put lots of enemies on Kaer Morhen's battlements right at the beginning of the game so you'd see it right away.

Pushing enemies to their deaths with Aard was a good tactic in TW2 arena.
