Witcher forum died about 7 years ago, when they picked up retards as mods. Thinking about it, 7 years ago about 90% of an old, good CDPR team was replaced. That's when decline started, any kind of criticism is forbidden there.

Well, the unicorn thing is canon. In the second book, Geralt says that Yen has a stuffed unicorn in her house and that she likes to have sex in it, something that Geralt hated, so.. I think it's a good "fanservice" to the book readers.

It's more like a bunch of housewives who got rid of their youthful ugliness via plastic surgery and now keep going for botox to appear young. (of course they do it via magic and elixirs) There's an elven sorceress whose face is severely damaged by some injury (might be a good part of a jaw missing or something), she's using a permanent illusion spell and never talks.

 

The sorceresses have a reputation to keep. Everyone expects them to be beautiful and vain. But they are forced to take what they can get since all the decent looking girls are farmed out for alliances and dowries. Leaving the collages with the types of girl no one else wants. There is a quote in one of the books somewhere what says that the sorceresses have the looks of beautiful women. Yet the hate filled eyes of ugly girls.

Shani could show up in a cameo while in Vizima, but I doubt as anything more than in a sidequest or just one more silly sex scene. There was much gnashing of teeth on CDPR's forums over Shani's complete absence as anything but a journal blurb in TW2.
