maybe in your savegame, letho won't be in that scene, or even substituted by coën. Witcher 2 had Siegfried of Denesle appearing in the game only if you sided with the order of flaming rose.

 

Yeah i don't think Letho cameo means they will choose one version of story to start from.

TW1 had significant choice (the order or squirrels) and both could appear in game depending on your save from TW1. Same with Ada

 

Well, I preordered both GOG and CE about 15 seconds after watching the trailer. Rarely do I have my mind blown by videogames, but this did it. It helps that I am Witcher fan since 1998 and wanted to see Ciri in the games since forever.

Also fucking Emhyr var Emreis, Deithwen Addan yn Carn aep Morvudd voiced by Charles Dance.
God fucking dammit they could not have selected better actor if they tried.
And his appearance is also spot-on. Pretty much exactly how I imagined him.

 

I have to say, CD Projekt is very good at keeping a steady relationship with their fans and supporters. I really respect them for that.
You get a free backup copy of both Witcher 1 and 2 on GoG if you bought a physical version. And if you have that, you get to pay 12 dollars less than you would by buying it day one. And game codes if you don't buy it with USD. Combined with the anti-DRM policies and (I suppose) the free content patches and enhanced edition that will come later on, they really know how to sell themselves.
They and Valve have that sort of charismatic villainy unlike other companies like EA and Activision who just shit on the fans without subtlety. EA is the drug-filled homicidial hobo who you need to avoid, whereas CD Projekt and Valve make you eat from their hand. I like it when some members in the game developing industry actually plays things smart and for the longer run.

 

Ok I'm hyped for Witcher 3 but I'd still like to see some Cyberpunk details :/ Maybe at E3.

 

Yeah. But i think they have gone completely 180 on Cyberpunk.

From start they wanted to create proper PnP like RPG with stats, open world and so on. I think they will just make mass efect cyberpunk 2077 instead proper party based cyberpunk game. Naturally PnP systems will be out of game switched to their "uber" action gameplay created to get casual consumer interest long enough to give shit about their game.

At least strong, story, choices and dialog s are expected from them so it isn't really that grim.

 

Mostly superior, but... there's no Charles Dance. They could at least give the spice merchant's role to someone with a more prominent voice, Fronczewski or someone... ffs.

well fuck, the trailer is beautiful but the art direction is even worse than in TW2. While that sucks, at least the game is pretty and I can't wait to be forced to buy a new PC finally!

And Ciri and Yen are looking great!

And the tv series was still the best witcher, gotta rewatch it soon!

apparently music from trailer is their original music from TW3 OST... damn, looks like they will do outstanding ost for this game.

 

Looking at the trailer, Ciri looks like the only person, who has actually aged in the ten years that have passed since the novels. Everyone else looks at about the same age, or younger (Dandelion should be fifty, looks younger than the fourty he had in Tower of the Swallow).

 

Eh? Five years have passed since the novels and TW1. Make that six for TW3. Dandelion was "almost fourty", so now he's at most fourty-five. Still, he does look too young. Everyone else? Meh. Foltest as seen in the games can be well over 50 and still look like that, same goes for Henselt, Shilard, etc. Geralt and the sorceresses are cheating due to magikx, so they don't count.

 

Yeah, I wanted to edit that in, but my internet crapped out for a few minutes.
And you are right, it was five years, not ten. My memory is kinda wonky these days.

Once again those great trailers are making me interested... Even though the last one was a disappointing mess, and there are very few things in TW3 that give much hope of improvement.

BUT CIRI! And Yen... My childhood comes back so it must be good. Mediocre gameplay and weird pacing aside.

I'm sure it's gonna get plenty o 9,5 and 10s.

yeah from books ending to tw3 it's like 5-6 years.

Geralt overall is like 80-120 years old, Triss is rather young for a mage so that would be like 60-80 where Yennefer is easily over 150 years old. Vesemir on other hand oldest of known witchers in books is so old that he remembers fall of Kear Moren and he participated in original witcher training of new witchers before fall of castle (including geralt and eskel). Also considering Yennefer took part in Ciri " blood purifying process" featuring inbreeding in her family for many generations before Ciri or her mother was even born she could be way over 200-300 years but it isn't clearly stated in books but she known about it and looked like she was partially responsible for her problems.
