Yeah, 350 PLN ($115) is a bit too pricy for my tase, especially compared to standard edition, which already has a lot of stuff and costs 140 (still a 40% premium over TW2 boxed version which cost 100). I don't think that the figure, medallion and artbook are worth an additional 200 PLN ($60).

And it's all shit compared to Divinity Original Sin Collector's Edition at 150 PLN (125 with preorder discount).

BTW i found something for people who don't read books:

It's amateur acting of one of more funny moments in chapter 5 of The Last Wish by some girl. I know it's not a pro and all but you can see clearly how writing comes alive and how sapkowski style take over scene:

    part1
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eAUigRXV68
    part2
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cpYb71Iges

Sometimes i wish there would be proper serialization of The Witcher Saga with proper budget and cast. Something like GoT quality.

    edit:

Also i wish english could show how people talk differently in english TW books. I mean most of village people in original polish version use language that i hardly common in polish language. It's stylized for very very old polish language and by language alone you can see person background.

BTW here is little cocktease for people who don't know who Yennefer is and her character. Part of Blood of Elves book

    "
Hey, innkeeper! More wine, if you please!'
'At your command, honoured lady! Quick as a flash!'
'The same as before, please, but this time without the water. I can only tolerate water in a bath, in wine I
    find it quite loathsome.'
'At your service, at your service!'
Yennefer pushed her plate aside. There was still enough meat on the chicken, Dandilion noticed, to feed
the innkeeper and his family for breakfast. A knife and fork were certainly elegant and refined, but they
    weren't very effective.
'Thank you,' he repeated, 'for rescuing me. That cursed Rience wouldn't have spared my life. He'd have
squeezed everything from me and then butchered me like a sheep.'
'Yes, I think he would.' She poured herself and the bard some wine then raised her tumbler. 'So let's
drink to your rescue and health, Dandilion.'
And to yours, Yennefer,' he toasted her in return. 'To health for which - as of today - I shall pray
whenever the occasion arises. I'm indebted to you, beautiful lady, and I shall repay the debt in my songs.
I shall explode the myth which claims wizards are insensitive to the pain of others, that they are rarely
eager to help poor, unfortunate, unfamiliar mortals.'
'What to do.' She smiled, half-shutting her beautiful violet eyes. 'The myth has some justification; it did not
spring from nowhere. But you're not a stranger, Dandilion. I know you and like you.'
'Really?' The poet smiled too. 'You have been good at concealing it up until now. I've even heard the
rumour that you can't stand me, I quote, any more than the plague.'
'It was the case once.' The enchantress suddenly grew serious. 'Later my opinion changed. Later, I wasgrateful to you.'
'What for, if I may ask?'
'Never mind,' she said, toying with the empty tumbler. 'Let us get back to more important questions.
Those you were asked in the pigsty while your arms were being twisted out of their sockets. What really
happened, Dandilion? Have you really not seen Geralt since you fled the banks of the Yaruga? Did you
really not know he returned south after the war? That he was seriously wounded -so seriously there were
even rumours of his death? Didn't you know anything?'
'No. I didn't. I stayed in Pont Vanis for a long time, in Esterad Thyssen's court. And then at Niedamir's in
    Hengfors—'
'You didn't know.' The enchantress nodded and unfastened her tunic. A black velvet ribbon wound
around her neck, an obsidian star set with diamonds hanging from it. 'You didn't know that when his
wounds healed Geralt went to Transriver? You can't guess who he was looking for?'
'That I can. But I don't know if he found her.'
You don't know,' she repeated. 'You, who usually know everything, and then sing about everything. Even
such intimate matters as someone else's feelings. I listened to your ballads beneath Bleobheris, Dandilion.
You dedicated a good few verses to me.'
'Poetry,' he muttered, staring at the chicken, 'has its rights. No one should be offended—'
    '"I lair like a raven's wing, as a storm in the night . . .'" quoted Yennefer with exaggerated emphasis, '". . .
and in the violet eyes sleep lightning bolts . . ." Isn't that how it went?'
'That's how I remembered you.' The poet smiled faintly. 'May
the first who wishes to claim the description is untrue throw the first stone.'
'Only I don't know,' the Enchantress pinched her lips together, 'who gave you permission to describe my
internal organs. How did it go? "Her heart, as though a jewel, adorned her neck. Hard as if of diamond
made, and as a diamond so unfeeling, sharper than obsidian, cutting—" Did you make that up yourself?
    Or perhaps . . .?'
    Her lips quivered, twisted.
'. . . or perhaps you listened to someone's confidences and grievances?'
'Hmm . . .' Dandilion cleared his throat and veered away from the dangerous subject. 'Tell me, Yennefer,
when did you last see Geralt?'
    'A long time ago.'
    'After the war?'
After the war . . .' Yennefer's voice changed a little. 'No, I never saw him after the war. For a long time
    ... I didn't see anybody.

    "

So Nilfgard already rolled over Temeria? Damn, considering I let Roche kill Henselt they will probably have easy time with Kaedwen too.

Honestly considering books lore i don't think hanselt or anyone would stop them sooner or later. Last clash of northern kingdoms and Nilfgaard resolved in death of shit ton of people and northern kingdoms were the one that were hurt most.

TW1 and TW2 problem imo is that it made player feel special about northern kingdoms like they are better in every way than big bad evil empire.

Problem is that in books withers don't care about that because they have no nationality, magic users do care (due to empire strict policy on magic users) so Yennefer and Triss are biased (especially considering they were advisers to kings).

Witchers including Geralt also worked in nilfgaard since people are the same and monsters are no different. Geralt conflict with nilfgaard in books was due to Ciri and by end of it Nilfgaard doesn't really want to do anything to Geralt.

I'm replaying TW2 atm and i wanted to side with Roche. But looks like i won't like the choices there. I kinda don't have the time for 2 walktrhoughs, but i want to have a savegame ready for TW3... and on my first playthought i sided with Iorverth...

Fuck, should i go and see what i've missed to satisfy my curiosity, or should i side with Iorveth because i'm all for freedom, tolerance and democracy (and i don't want to kill Letho)?

You should play roche part because it is best part of the game and it is superior to iorweth part.

They're both morally grey IMO. There is a lot of different content so you should see the Roach path.

So the trailer broke me. I was going to do a second playthrough of Witcher 2 when the EE came out, but I always was putting it away for later. Now I'm instaling Witcher 2 EE, damnit.
So my question, does anybody know where to find that half-official patch that fixes the combat?

I like Roche, actually he's one of the best RPG NPC's ever in my book. But while i think he's an excellent character, i don't necessarily agree with him or his ways.

And i don't want to regret my plot choices.

you won't regret it. Geralt isn't mercenary or killer so you should already know he won't be eating babies.

Also both Iorweth and Roche are mass murderers. One is head of elite special division doing dirty work other is head of commando which don't see problem with stuffing children with arrows in the end "one Dhoine less".

Also you miss shit ton of good content. Blue Stripes, Kedwen camp, Deathmold which is imo one of best characters in game. Like i said just play it you won't regret it.

I kinda wish they would let you be totally neutral like in the first game, when instead of backing the order or scoiatel you can just walk away and do your thing. I understand that you have to back someone because the plot of the second game is just constructed that way, but still. I miss telling everyone fuck off, I'm a witcher.

Anyone not as computer illiterate as me, if I could run the Witcher 2 decently at 1920x1080, with a few settings turned down, will I be able to run this somewhat or will it fuck my computer in the ass completely?

Trailer didn't do much for me, and I hope there's still a lot of the "realistic" side of the story intact and not just the Wild Hunt bullshit. The more down-to-earth side of these games have been far more compelling than the more supernatural bits.

No one knows. Same engine but much larger areas, and perhaps much more detail and processing effects. Gonna have to wait and see the requirements.

Isn't Witcher 3 being done on RedEngine 2 instead of RedEngine 1?

Yes the engine has similar infrastructure but it's like compering Frostbite 2 to Frostbite 3. Same basic design, but a step up in performance and system requirements.

Roche is a nazi. He does what he does out of his nationalist ideas. Therefore, he's politically loaded as fuck. Witchers should be neutral, but Geralt right from the start helps Foltest to take over a castle. That's taking sides. Political sides.

Siding with Iorveth makes more sense since: A. Geralt has non-human friends (Zoltan anyone?). B. He has a soft spot for dragons (and Saskia is his firend's daughter for fuck's sake). C. He's more likely to support the underdogs. D. Helping the non-humans could bring more ballance in general. E. Succubi boobs.

    1. I want my 8k orens back, after killing Grand Master - which was a lot political too.
    2. He is there because of Triss and lack of his memory more than anything else, plus he is working as a bodyguard for Foltest. If Foltest goes to war he can't do his job if he doesn't join. Yeah he is fighting of Foltest side, but it's not like he is there to win for him. He is there to protect him and his family. In a way he still retains a degree of neutrality.
    3. Siding with Roche, Geralt is trying to clear his name and it's not that he is siding with Roche's political beliefs. Especially that you can later piss on him and his plan of getting rid of Demawend to save Triss. Which pisses him off to no end.
    4. Siding with Iorveth is more of a political statemant then siding with Roche ever is.
