    QUEST INITIATED: GRIFFIN HUNT.
WARNING! WARNING! NOT ADJUSTED FOR POPAMOLE.
    ADJUSTING POPAMOLE.. DONE.
GRIFFIN SPAWNED IN THE IMMEDIATE VIEW OF THE PLAYER FOR EASIER LOCATABILITY.

 I dunno, it just seemed funny to me that you can see the griffin clearly from between the trees without actually trying to find it in a "track" quest.

I actually enjoyed Witcher 2 combat for the most part. Too much rolling but it was difficult enough to require your full attention and constant movement/protection, which was nice. The animations did make it feel clunky though.

Thanks for admitting that you're shit at video games. I suggest you stick with turn based ones.

But the animations were terrible from a gameplay perspective.

The quest was clearly set up for the presentation.

I didn't find Witcher 2 difficult. Late-game Batman is appropriately demanding.

I don't mind one or two cutscenes, here and there, but if we have one in the end of *every* hunt, then... Holy shit, that sucks.

Mmm, yes, Batman games most certainly are not PRESS X TO WIN. No siree bob, not popamole bullshit at all compared to TW2!

That video shows about 10 seconds of combat and an ambush situation, at that. If you're going to try come off as witty at least watch the video you put up to see if supports your argument. Or, you know, maybe actually play one of the games. If you mashed buttons against a large pack of enemies (particularly armed ones) you would die in pretty short order.

It's largely timing and using multiple gadgets for crowd control like frost grenades, batclaw, batarangs, etc.

Batman games are hella easy but in those games you don't care about winning the fights, if you're not trying to combo your shit as flawlessly as possible then you are playing the game wrong

Isn't batman basically just Ass-Ass_ins creed combat. There's a button to attack.... button to counter.... and then some gadgets that make the attack/counterattack crap a bit more interesting.

World champion... contract player... analyst... was that some kind of an inside joke?

Apparently world champion contract player used steel sword to fight a monster, while silver sword was used in a cutscene instead... huh.
Also, that was one hell of a dumb, low health griffin.

Why does UI recommend potions for monsters automatically? Seems lame.
Why do you need three bolts from a crossbow? Is one really not enough?

The world looks very good of course... resting and toxicity still there... and fucking quest-bloodstains. What's the fun in hunting monster with a quest compass?

I just watched the video, the interviewer is a total dudebro retard

SO YOU GOT LIEK A SILVER SWORD AND LIKE A STEEL SWORD, YEAH MAN?
SO WHAT'S THIS GUYS STORY IT'S THE THIRD GAME, RIGHT?
    YOU GOT LIKE SPELLS, RIGHT?

But I must say the game looks stunning. I hope it's difficult as fuck, too.

I missed any news about the alchemy system, do we still need to sit down to drink and will the potions last longer to be useful even if there's a cutscene before a fight?

The only complaint would be the obviously easy fight with the griffin and the weird trace effect on the crossbow.

Heh a jumping animation that doesn't look retarded, who would have thought it possible?

Well I only played the frst Ass Creed but didn't feel combat in Batman Arkham games was similar to it at all. In Ass Creed I've won fights using that finger dagger and one shotting enemies with a counterattack (it's easier to counter with swords but you do much less damage, finger dagger just outright kills them). Counterattack is a major part of the combat system in that game and your most powerful tool to use against enemies.

In Batman games however, counterattack is just something you do to avoid getting as otherwise it does piddly amount of damage, if you tried to beat 4-5 mooks with just using counters you'd get bored to tears (it's a very ineffective method to play). The meat of the fight in those games is chaining attacks from one guy to the other, trying to use all your moves and gadgets in the process (to get that variety modifier up) and counterattacking only when you have to in order to keep the combo chain going.

The bit where he asks about the girl is the worst. Can she repay us in any ... OTHER WAYS?

And then he made him repeat it

10 seconds of combat, one minute cut-scene for the killshot? This doesn't bode well. My main complaint with TW2 was that it was too cinematic, not gamey enough. Seems like they continue down that path.

Roaming the countryside and shagging random chicks gonna rock tho!

Oh look, there's that line again.
If a game can be played "right" and "wrong" that means its design is shit.

Looks scripted as fuck. I seriously hope it's for the sake of the presentation (which would be understandable). I wan't a less scripted gameplay, no bullshit cutscenes as well.

Yeah, a bit too scripted for my taste. I hope this is only for the sake of presentation, because I don't want to get instantly teleported to a town after finishing a quest. And no, I do not like that in AoD either.

In every other aspect, the game looks like a slightly improved TW2:AoK, which is more than fine by me.
