It couldn't be worse than the abandoned Old Quarter with the Haunted Cathedral, unless Garrett is so racist he'd rather walk among undead than among black people.

Why do I have a feeling this game will sell and review well enough such that the developer/publisher do not learn a single thing?

Still wonder if it would have been more profitable as a spin off or new IP, even more mainstream media doesn't seem to be all that hyped at this point.

Hi all. I have given up on the Eidos forums, my teeth were taking too much damage from the constant grinding.
Thought I'd come try out your sandpit for a while instead.

I actually don't mind if this clusterfuck sells well, it might mean that there's a chance for a Thief 2 (5?) being developed by a quality company.
I doubt Eidos Montreal will still exist at that point.

Well, welcome to the freedom of the Rpg codex sandpit. Good to see yet more EM forum posters cast of the shackles of that damn place.

Some wishful thinking ITT. Eidos Montreal just announced a new line of Deus Ex games. They're not going anywhere. At best, they'll abandon the Thief franchise and become "the Deus Ex company".

In other words, doesn't matter if you're stealthy or not, the devs chose when you can sneak and when you have to run. Brilliant.

What a patronising git. So this is the world we live in. "Are you absolutely shit at games? Give us your money anyway, because the game is so piss easy, a comatose infant could finish it."

For fucks sake let's just nuke Canada.

It's funny how in Thief 1 and 2, there were moments where you had to escape, too. Just take the mission Undercover! once you raise the alarm and have to GTFO, but you can still choose yourself if you want to RUN!!! or get out the stealthy way.

When will the choreography-fascists go back to Hollywood and leave games alone?

I, like everybody else, was raging extremely hard when news of this abomination started coming out. But now that it's turning out to be a complete disaster and everybody hates it (even dumbass gaming journos), it's really paying off for me.

Will this be Thiaf 180 to be featured on the shitbox 180?

The generation of reversals is upon us.

That's where I stand too. It is a funny trainwreck, and it will probably drag its makers down with it. Darwinism at its finest!

I've resigned myself to what it will be. Thus I can enjoy watching it plummet into disaster.

I still cry and rage at what has been done to one of my all time favorite games franchises... so sad . :(

To think I now look back at Deadly Shadows with fondness...
