I feel your pain. I didn't get a decent connection until a few years ago. It took me several days to download even the smallest of games. Streaming was shit. I was still paying the same that you would be paying for high speed. Oklahoma is one of the shittiest states in the US. Keep that in mind Outlanders.

Philippine Internet is a lot worse, the most I ever reached with a residential Internet connection is 300kbps.

The only fast Internet I ever found is in airports and in a few hotels in Cebu and Davao.

Same situations in most rural french areas, you wont get more with DSL. Fiber still not installed everywhere.
Wait, what. 21st century, middle of europe, a highly developed country and you only have access to such internet? Bullshit.

No, this is actually the sad truth.

That's what you get for austerity policy.

First what i am looking at? This is some kind of a ranking about internet speed? If so, then its bullshit - poland scored lower than france , albeit i cant find any place in poland that would have a 1 mb internet.

It's the percentage of "fiber to the home (ftth)" and "fiber to the building (fttb)". You apparently don't belong to the 5.1% of households in Poland who have that.

The ranking does not say anything about internet speed in general, though.

FTTH/B ranking for Europe based on 2018 data published in 2019
https://www.ftthcouncil.eu/documents/FTTH Council Europe - Panorama at September 2018.pdf
▪ Eastern Europe and Nordic countries are among the top of
penetration ranks, mainly due to a proactive state intervention
towards fibre expansion
▪ Some major European countries are lagging behind (except.
Spain and Portugal) due to a predominance of copper-based
technologies (VDSL, G.Fast) and/or cable networks (DOCSIS
3.0 / 3.1)

Don't know. Germany is at the bottom of this and a lot of people are complaining about it.
But i couldn't complain about anything.

Never felt like i needed more internet.
As long as you can watch porn while downloading games life is good.

It's legitimately, honest to god, faster to get a satellite dish and download via that.

Oh, don't be such a baby. It's still better than mine at 3120ms ping with < 0.01 mbps transfer because it just shows up as 0.
