Don't know. Germany is at the bottom of this and a lot of people are complaining about it.
But i couldn't complain about anything.

Never felt like i needed more internet.
As long as you can watch porn while downloading games life is good.

Germany has such a shitty internet that it's not even funny and I'm talking about regular internat, mobile is much much worse (i honestly think that some tribes in Papua New Guinea have better mobile service than most germans).
Our despotic leader is complining about 1mbps - that's INSANE speed for a lot of germans.
first world country my ass...

TFW apparently I live in a first-world country by internet speeds/availability.

Here, WiFI is almost everywhere (in cities/towns), so much so that you can come upon open WiFi networks every now and then. I have 30 Mbps Internet, and even that often feels... slow for the modern world, but I don't want to waste any more money on it. Many people here also pay around 15$ to have mobile internet with 10 GB of "full speed" (several Mbps, don't know really since I don't have it), and once those 10 GB are spent you can have unlimited 128 kbs speeds (not much, but enough for surfing the Internet).

Just lol at all the pathetic speeds reported ITT.

Honestly did not think the internet issue was that bad in Australia. I have the flashback to dialup at the 2000s. But now thank god you can get home internet outside the capital either by via electric cable or mobile router for 20 Eur. It does help that the two biggest mobile operators are trying to one-up each other in the mobile and TV market.

Same situations in most rural french areas, you wont get more with DSL. Fiber still not installed everywhere.
What? I know plenty of people living in the middle of nowhere (like montpezat in the gard dept, only 1k inhabitants, nothing of note around it) and they got around 15mbps, not 1. DSL isn't very good but it's not always that bad if you live in an area that cares enough

And if you are close enough to a DSLAM and get VDSL2 it's fucking amazing.

btw, glorious cell phone 4g :

4G is not a bad alternative to DSL if you don't mind a 100 or 200gb datacap after which internet slows down.

You should have no sympathy for those who were left behind. Having slow internet is like being born with poor parents, you are not supposed to whine but must do something about it.

There's no 4G either in many areas north of France probably a lot worse than gard , there's some territories completely forgotten , and when it does it's not even reliable.

At least Straya is free from foreign influence (looking at you, China) because of it's isolated location.

Oh, wait.

Didn't expect Spain and Portugal to have the largest amount of people using fiber in the Western world. Even here on an island in the Atlantic we have 100 Mb fiber - though admittedly, in practice it rarely gets above 20 Mb.

Crikey it's a 1 Mbit internet! A rare, nearly extinct species... Isn't she gorgeous! It's amazing how she moves so slowly, yet manages to survive in the wild!

After using for almost a decade Wifi with 4-6 Mbit speed that had problems during bad weather, finally there was an opportunity to have fiber optic internet. With constant 900 Mbps download speed and 100 Mbps of upload, there is no turning back. HD streams, Steam downloads and all other stuff makes it very comfy, along with 40ms ping. Just invest in 4TB drives and NVMe SSD to have space and speed on the other end.

And everyone over 30 too. It's time for Boomernet where everything is more accessible for our old people.

What is an RPG? Discuss.

Fuck you just reminded me about using AOL dial up and having only one phone line back in the mid-late 90s. The only upside was that it kept me playing single player games instead of getting suckered into online gaming back then.

So Dracula has faster internet than I do. Good to know. I wonder what kind of freaky porn he looks up?
