Well I voted turn based because I like turn based games. I don't need any other reason than that.

I'm happy if it ends up a close victory for either side. That would free the devs to make their own choice and then the community could get behind it eventually.

After massive drama, obviously. RTwP popamolers would cry louder though, which can go for or against our interests depending on Fargo's sexual deviations.

Because my vote and your vote(assuming you're a backer) are worth as much as the vote of an uneducated mongrel like that armored_mammal guy some folks were quoting a few pages ago.

What you guys should really be asking yourselves is "Why is turn-based doing so well?". And the answer is probably that a significant number of the folks who backed Torment are Wasteland 2 backers, so they're cool with that.

That's true unfortunately. I wonder how such a vote for W2 would have gone.

You're probably right. I don't really care that much too. I can live with RtWP, although I think TB combat would make for a better game in the end.

The Real question shouldn't be: RTwP or TB.

    But TB:
    IGOUGO or WEGO?

    Pfff.

The upside to RTwP winning is that if it really is possible to complete the game without any combat (or mostly w/o), I won't have to suffer through it.

They said voting will last till december so hold your panties gentlemen.

If there was any justice in the world the game should be TB in the end just because of incredible stupidity of arguments thrown for RTwP.
Seriously... TB has few very big advantages to it - as devs said themselves. They even talk about prototyping Crises in W2 technology and what a big advanatge that gives them.

Im not worried that much, but if RTwP would win i would be sorely disappointed since that would make it look liek retards are wining because they are stupid.
Which is not a notion i can connect with a Torment game.

Do you want the combat to be shallow action-visceral-awesome or do you want it to be a deep, demanding - tough and therefore truly very intense experience that strengthens the whole setting and the underlying mechanics and character skills?

i can also drink a druid potion and hit you if you want light effects.

Does the combat in a Torment Successor really matter?

I am taking Torment as an interactive novel so I want the combat to be over ASAP, hence I'm leaning towards RTwP.

There are other games to scratch the gamist itch, and Torment is not one of them.
