I mean...if fing ign can get it...

You can save the rest for Kicstarter. Dont spend awesome art too quickly :)

I liked the concept from the start. If i cant get Sigil (for now...) Bloom will do just fine.

Ok then, are humans dependant on external technology to be powerful? Or can some rely on an inner source of energy to fight? By inner I just that you use it with your will/knowledge alone.
Call it the force, Jesus or Magic, but something spontaneous that don't require external device (or DNA modification or whatever). Short : Are there ''mage'' or just ''technologist''?

    Does that actually matter?

Infinitron, for fuck sake... Kevin answered my question about dialogue on formspring, saying pretty much what they said in the interview and what Colin said now. There is nothing arrogant in saying so.

why yes? It's just a lore question. ''Sorcerer'' kind of class has always been my favorite in RPG, lore wise. I suppose it can work in this setting too.
I didn't asked the question for you.

thanks, but that's not what I'm after. I was just asking if there was, in this particular setting, humans that use some kind of ''magic'' out of nowhere, naturally.

Would be interesting if all magic is just some form of highly advanced tech and not some kind of psi or energy mumbo jumbo.

Yeah sure, but at least something that you can control with your will, that is fairly easy to obtain, and that is reliable (by that I mean, no wifi body control risk when You implement the chip/dna...)

But since they talked about a consciousness realm, and soul and stuff, I was simply wondering if those could have implications in the physical world : the power of your soul or some shit.
Which I would personally prefer since it's closer to my favorite class.

    Sure sounds like it.

I fully expect that the Bloom will turn on some players. Hell i expect it to turn onto all players but maybe in different, yet hard to figure out ways.

    As for

One thing i expected all of the time in PST was to stumble through some portal by accident. Especially after the small sub quest with Ingress.
That small story really turned the perception of the place you found yourself in upside down and made you expect the unexpected.

One of the biggest disappointments was to eventually figure out such a thing cannot happen, that it wasnt implemented. Due to many development constraints, of course.

This would be really a good opportunity to do something like that right.
Not looking for confirmation here. Just sayin... you know..

So they are using Unity and the Wasteland 2 development tools to an extent, does this confirm the game is in 3D?

Eternity is also a 3D game. EXCEPT it uses 2D backgrounds (from 3D rendered scenes).

Good to hear both are not mutually exclusive. WL2 is looking horribly bland as it stands, dunno how that same engine would eventually translate into the amazing environment descriptions of Numenera.

For now I'm suspecting that FF is the closest setting to this. Apart for the Angsty teens.

How about a story about what happens to one of the NPC that TNO encountered? Dak’kon? Lothar? Or what about your PC being a Lim Lim?

But what I really meant to say was: Why not play as Candrian Illborne? We ARE on a different plane, after all. But that’s not a problem if we are Candrian Illborne. It could be an adventure happened before we meet TNO, just to put in a couple references, as a *wink, wink* to players.
Candrian could be originally from Numenera, why not. And we witness the birth of a planeswalker.
So the next game, Torment: Tales of Candrian or something sees the birth of a new IP, which means tons of cash, which means they can in the end get the Planescape license, and the circle closes!

Sorry, I’m really hungry right now, pretend I wrote nothing.

My understanding of IP means they cannot (without permission) use any mention of anything in the original game.

It is closer to the Dying Earth, Dark Sun-type settings.
