Negative votes is basically just not voting, things will steadily go down anyway. Flagging just gives the mods on the backend more to do, haha.

I'm not a fan of anything backer-exclusive either, unless it's a little joke/token thing, but there's no harm in putting it up for votes. People will hopefully let it fall down on its own.

I like how Linux version has more votes than Mac version.

Where is the option for more frequent developer updates?

Newfags?

A new type of fag emerges - boxfags!

Boxfag wants to remind that we are talking about kickstarter-type tiers, so you can pretty much be certain that the extra costs for physical content is covered.

So, who the fuck thinks that the cost of boxes and cloth maps would actually be out of the development budget?

Pretty much. I'm quite sure $100-$150 for a boxed edition gives quite a lot more money for development than a $20 digital version.

The point is, they'd get more money per pledge if they asked you to pay for a $200 tier WITHOUT sending you a fancy collector's edition box.

Now, you might ask yourself, "Why would I pay it, then?"

I don't know. Maybe they'd find something else to give you instead. Or maybe you wouldn't pay. That's the dilemma.

I doubt it would happen. The reason I pay extra is to get the physical stuff. That's why it's there, to make those like me pay more. Removing it just means less money.

Why can't everybody just get along? Can't pay for shipping? Get digital stuff. Want physical stuff. Pay for it.

Edit: I also don't get the shipping costs more than the pledge thing. Shipping is usually $15 or so. Were there ever any tiers lower than that? Unless you mean "if I get the collector's edition for $100 I also need to pay $15 for shipping, so I'd rather just get the lowest tier instead".

I don't think anyone argues there shouldn't be any physical stuff. Of course a lot of people want a physical box with a cloth map inside, which is the basic physical reward thingy and it's perfectly fine. What people vote against, as I see it, is that there should be too much physical stuff. For one, I don't think anyone really needs badges, ranger medals, blood sausage statuettes and things like that. Extraneous stuff like that can eat away too much of Kickstarter budget. (Didn't that happen to DoubleFine?)

(I may be wrong though :P)

The problem I think is with the low-end physical tiers. The people paying 50 or 60 bucks for a standard box. Not the elite collector's edition stuff. That stuff certainly does pay for itself.

It's possible that many of the people paying 50-60 bucks for a box can be persuaded to pay the same amount for a purely digital tier. But I'm not sure.

You see, I'd pay for some concrete stuff instead of a vague promise of for example an additional location in the game, at the stage when I don't even know if the original locations are worth the money I'm putting into it. The shitty thing nowadays is that with digital DRM the resell value of the box is zero if you want to play other games on the same account.

Hmmmm... I could make a separate account for every game I buy?

Also, there isn't a suitable category for it since it's about updates after the Kickstarter funding period. But I voted for it anyway.

Minimize Physical Rewards
Emphasize digital rewards so that more funds can be invested into making a better game instead of spent on producing and shipping physical items.
Screw physical goodies, shipping to my part of the woods costs me more than the bloody pledge. Digitalfaggotry is the future.
Yeah, I could understand that. I live in México (in a border city) and even as I was like 10 miles from the nearest U.S. city, I had to pay a lot for shipping. What I ended doing was renting a P.O. Box and using it for this kind of stuff.

I'm usually not a box person, I throw away boxes to games I own digitally or take up too much space, but I want boxes for these games for some dumb reason.

Sheesh, the Exclusive Companion idea seems to be very popular. I hope inXile don't implement it because of that. How much these votes (considering no one is actually a backer yet) factor into their decisions, Brother None?

HEATHEN!!! If you don't need them, sell them on eBay.There are a lot of collectors out there looking for stuff like this. Or, if you can't be assed to put them up for auction, just send them my way and I'll get them off your hands for free:D.

The only box I still have is for the Blade Runner adventure game.
