2022, still patiently waiting for the expansion:

ehhm bro, check our last devlog, we have a release date

Yeah, but technically you also had release dates in 2017 and 2018. This is just more specific than most. :troll:

We had release years or quarters, before, not dates. You can trust our specifics. ;) Did we not deliver even ahead of schedule the last time?

Grab the Codex by the pussy
A year (or a quarter) is still a date, both technically and practically speaking. It's simply less precise than dates that include months and days, in the same way that measuring something only in meters is less precise than also including decimeters and centimeters.

That being said, they were more like non-release years or quarters, because nothing was actually released. :troll:

I don't know but I hear you can get pornography on the internet now.
I wouldn't know about pornography, but i mostly like to know what my little cousin will be getting into if he plays the game.

I'd be more worried about the constant drug injections and mauling people with a sledgehammer.

Sexual immorality / age-inappropriate sexual content is much worse (especially for kids) than those things, in my opinion. Mock-violence is always a part of play for children (especially boys), while sex has no place there.

There are no explicit sexual scenes or themes, but yes, there is a lot of violence (explicit and narrated), substance abuse and plenty of gory scenes (there is no sexual violence though). Overall, I think it's below or, at most, at the "maturity" levels of Fallout 2.

Hope this helps.
Okay thanks for the info. Imo Fallout 2 is way high in "inappropriateness for kids" levels - i doubt UnderRail is as bad. Still i get the impression that it might not be suitable for a kid. I'll just recommend them to play Druidstone instead (even though it's hardly as good).

That's not true. Freud's postutaled anal phase actually exists in a form and later in life.
As a preschooler, I hid under the bed with my girlfriend across the street and we played games...

Freud was a hack and had no genuine legitimate merit in any way that matters.

At best. At worst he was malicious, which is what I suspect.

Okay so oddity route it is. I have one last question: does this game have fallout style approach to quests, with multiple solutions, skill checks in dialogues, etc?

PsychoFox there are some skill checks, but don't expect the game to be beatable in pacifist mode. Barter/speech are mostly for alternative paths and better quest rewards.

Okay good to know. I started my playthrough. I'm doing a stealth/assassin character. Bought bunch of bear traps, and been avoiding as much combat as possible since there's no combat xp. I like what i'm seeing so far, but i do think the game is a bit slow, and not much seems to be happening yet. What's your guys opinion on the game's story and lore?

Story is alright, lore and worldbuilding are great. Btw, main plot truly starts once you hit Junktown and beat Depot A.

How's this build for a stealth playthrough with guns and traps?

ST: 8
Dex: 6
Ag: 8
Con: 3
Per: 9
Will: 3
Int: 3

also, will i get locked out of convos because of low int? So far it doesn't seem like to be the case.

Which gun? This is important. Different gun have different STR requirements and different feats with different requirements. 5 STR for sniper rifles, at least 6 for assault rifles (7 if you want a feat for better bursts, 8 if you want to wear metal armor). Pistols and SMGs don't have a STR requirement at all, so you can dump it all the way to 3. Unless you want better bursts with SMGs or to wear metal armors. But you probably don't want to wear metal armors, since they are pretty bad for sneaking around, with one exception.

ST: 8
Dex: 6
Ag: 8
Con: 3
Per: 9
Will: 3
Int: 3
This is mostly alright. STR is definitely too high if you don't plan to use metal armors. Enough STR to use what you want, 3 WIL, at least 5 INT if you want to craft at a good pace (or 6 or 7, if you want any of the crafting feats). I'm not a fan of being a total glass cannon so I usually go with at least 5 CON, but plenty of people go with 3 and manage. DEX largerly depends on the weapon used - it's pretty much useless for ARs unless you need it for feats, very useful for pistols and SMGs since it reduces their AP cost, technically useless for sniper rifles but you will want a pistol/SMG as a backup. As for AGI, that depends entirely on what feats and if you care about having high dodge and/or evasion.

You will miss a few things, but it's mostly flavour.

Ah cool so i don't need more than 5 st since i'm mostly interested in snipers. Spread it out to INT and CON instead.

Bad idea, since oddities drop from enemies. Some have very low drop rates, skip only when you have them all.
Not really, since he's playing a stealthy character he could just explore every nooks and cranny and get oddities from looting containers and barrels, and also accomplishing quests for early to midgame leveling. After all, there's more oddities in the game than needed to reach the level cap.
If he invest in pickpocketing, even better since he could just go around picking NPCs pocket and get oddities from there too, especially considering you don't need to savescum pickpocketing in this game.

Yeah i've noticed since making that comment. So each enemy drops only one type of oddity, correct?

Mostly yes, with tougher variants having their own oddities.

Not entirely true. Goliathus drops brains and Death Stalkers drop eyes just like their normal counter parts. Ancient Rathounds and Burrower Warrior have their own Oddity.

I did not know that.
