Someone should ask him about The Deb of Night.
I posted a tweet, fat chance they'll answer it.

EDIT: New link to a tweet that did get answered.

Watching the twitch interviews, the question comes up whether Brian Mitsoda will be doing any VA though, and the devs smile and say "No comment." So I'm gonna go ahead and get a bit hyped about that.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines follow-up teased by Paradox with ARG

Either Paradox, who these days own Vampire: The Masquerade & World of Darkness publisher White Wolf, are getting into the Netflix & Chill game, or they’re they’re gearing up to reveal a long-awaited follow-up to the legendary Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines.

They’ve come up with Tender, ostensibly a dating site. Whose metadata just so happens to read “Whether you’re looking for meaningful friendships, true love or simply a late night bite with a kindred spirit, Tender is here to help.”

By the pricking of my thumbs…

I signed up nervously for Tender, readying my desperate justifications should my partner walk in and find me creating an online dating profile while she exhaustedly hauled our e’er-vomiting baby around the house. Fortunately, it wasn’t long before Tender became less about strangers honking each other’s pud, and more about nihilism, hobbies including demonology and status updates about eating cats.

As far as I can tell, there’s currently no way to actually communicate with or otherwise progress a relationship with another horny/bloodthirsty soul, outside of being able to choose canned lines approving of their statuses, but that this is a) clearly an alternate reality game and b) is tagged beta and talks about new features coming soon, Satan only knows what it’s got in store for us.

Here’s my auto-generated profile description, after I picked interests including board games and murderers:

tender2.jpg

Definitely, definitely about boning, and nothing to do with videogames about increasingly corrupted immortal souls, I’m sure you’ll agree.

I’ve done a little burrowing into Tender’s source code, and turned up a few more nuggets of note. First, here’s a video which plays once you’ve completed the initial round of profile-setting tasks and a few short quizzes about e.g. Robert Plutchik’s emotional wheel.

You try and convince me that, for one thing, it isn’t deeply sinister, and for another that the closing music doesn’t positively scream vampires.

My digging also turned up mention of someone named ‘Alice & Smith’ as being responsible for some of these videos. Who, whaddaya know, turn out to be a Canadian developer which specialises in ARGs, including the John Walker-approved The Black Watchmen.

All this means more Vampire: The Masquerade, or I’ll eat my ancient boxed copy of Bloodlines (if I can be bothered to dig it up from the attic). But what form will it take, who’s making it and when we will find out more? Also, when will I get a booty call from an anonymous cat-eater?

Keeping fingers crossed(upside down)

This is all I needed to know. If this edgy 14 year old creative writing assignment reflects the game's writing, then the game will flat out suck. Consider me definitively un-hyped.

Speaking of the first game. Has there been anything new with the unofficial patch or in the way of mods?

I hope to wrap the UP up before B2 is released, but I know I might be dreaming ;)! The current version 10.3 is very stable and has been improved a lot in the direction of being closer to the original in the basic version due to Zenith from here. On the mod front the latest release is the CQM 4.0 includes a completely new hub with integrated Sabbat quest line. Also a prequel called the Bloodlines Prelude is in the works and War Games, a mod playing during WWII...

Prime Junta the guy who created Vampire: The Masquerade was excommunicated for writing those "Vampires are killing gays in Chechnya and blaming it on Islam" paragraphs. The modern left has no tolerance for that kind of edginess anymore.

(meanwhile back in the 90s "suicide bombers exist because Malkav tainted the drinking supply in the middle east with his blood" was something that went on by without much comment :P)

Delterius https://rpgcodex.net/forums/index.p...ox-chechen-triggering-content-removed.124826/

I am p. sure that is because the creator was way too crass and too on the nose as well as being completely tone deaf, not because he was more moderate. Not to mention of course it sounds like misguided apologia to me.

Do my eyes see a butthurt kebab?! Oh poor you,we all know how tolerant toward faggots the islamic fate is. How dare this bigot offend poor poor alahus.

Since when paradox's dlcs have an end?
Usually around the same time the next game in the series comes out.
Well they are yet to make a new game in their series after a game made according their new DLC policies. CK2 was supposed to stop produce DLCs a few DLCs ago,but here we are constantly getting new ones. Your statement is hypothetical because we haven't seen a DLC focused game getting a sequel.

Bloodlines is a good game because it is a good game. That it involves vampires/World of Darkness setting is kind of immaterial. What makes Bloodlines good is the writing, world design, level design, choice and consequence, and depth that make your experience different depending on the clan you select. The game could be about almost anything (obviously with changes in the script and actors and such) and still be good because of its core design.

I don't disagree, but for me personally, the fact that it's a game set in WoD is a huge bonus, since it's one of the most interesting, if not the most interesting, fictional settings I know of.

Really? It is pretty decent setting but not something that i would call the best. There is more than enough interesting settings out there like Warhammer,Valérian and Laureline for scifi,Elric of melnibone for some dark fantasy, shadow run, even fallen london will be a great setting for an rpg.

Well they weren't that bad when you first played them. But on replay they are painful....like most mainstory areas.

I think either Tim or Leonard said that the sewers are too long so I added a shortcut in the plus version of the UP :)! As I did for all the endgame fighing maps...

Generic-Giant-Spider Redemption is pretty decent game. I am replaying now and it is not bad. In some aspect the writing is even better.

Oh Fantadomat my little munchkin, how you say such amusing things. You're like my little nephew who learned how to swear thanks to my insane road rage. Such infernal language from such an innocent mind.

Although it is a mediocre game, Redemption still has some qualities and even if on average it is inferior to Bloodlines, somethings have been done better than in the sequel.
The character has a motivation, going from medieval times to the 90's was pretty cool and the Sabbat were handled much better.
Something i felt lacking in Bloodlines was the absence of ancient vampires. Most of the vampires you meet are not very old while on Redemption you had a Cosmas who wore a roman armor.
