    There was (is) a dumb bug in bloodlines that prevents a great deal of voice-acting from being heard.
    You know how most non-combat areas have little environmental audio sections? You pass through a place the first time, audio plays, like the cops on the exit of the parking lot. Turns out, a lot of combat maps have the similar audio binded to npcs conversations, but it is naturally turned off when entering combat mode, which is fine.
    What is not fine, is that it is ALSO turned off when loading a savegame on that map. The saveload process jumps over a part of the npc/map initialization i suspect.

    Wesp managed to 'fix' this for the audio during the gang briefcase retrieval quest if you go stealth, but i think that the way it was 'fixed' was by placing audio triggers outside of npcs, so i was avoided and the same solution is probably not viable for all the many many voiceovers on combat maps.

    BTW, this means that to hear some audio in bloodlines you have to ghost levels without reloading once :troll:

    You're expecting a bit too much of what would basically be a hackneyed cutscene re-purposing animation not intended for the situation is very badly done stuttering in-engine cutscenes, if it even has the decency of affecting the endings in any way instead of only adding some mid-game *nudge-nudge* unvoiced or voice 'shaped' very uncanny valley conversation with Andrei. Forget about a full-fledged mid-game faction with a Elysium, questgivers and C&C, would be horrible to insert animations for believable monstrous sabbat. Playing some quests on Clan Quest mod made me give up on a general faction expansion of the game (a few quests are really nice though, mostly those that don't require new animation in anyway or touch original npcs in plot-affecting ways).

    Bloodlines has the 'distinction' of being frustratingly close to being a very moddable continuously supported engine with plenty of modders tools but being very far indeed (just the valve cutscene animator thing would work great for modders). Nothing can solve the voice problems though, except what multimillion dollars companies regularly do when expanding a game whose actor is unavailable: they hire another actor to revoice everything or make the expansion not have a fucking thing to do with the main game npcs. Which is a bit silly for a bloodlines Sabbat fan expansion.

    Playing Camarilla mod that's based on Wesp's 8.5 patch, is it worth it to just uninstall it and play only with latest wesp (8.8)?
