Is there a way to report stuff like that to Wikipedia? I mean, it's not like it's a bastion of reliable info to begin with but after my Kickstarter pledge I feel a certain "paternal connection" with Wasteland 2 and get kind of upset by this...

... and once again this guy has changed it back!

I don't really have the patience to deal with Wikipedia politics. I've left a message on the "talk page" of one of the regular Wiki editors who's handling this article. Hopefully he'll take care of this guy.

Now that you mention it this has curious parallels to that of a jilted lover out for revenge

    except more like

Dude: Hello I'm been watching you for months hehe and I was wondering if you'd like to go out sometime maybe watch some cartoons
    WL2: ...Sorry, I'm married?
    Dude: BETRAAAAAAAAYYYAAAAAAAAALLLLLL

He's being sneaky but I think I'm getting him riled up, however Wikibot is nagging me and I'll be blocked if I continue. So a bro will have to pick up the torch, or the forces of evil will emerge victorious :(

    edit:

Yeah I plunked $15 into WL2 and kept thinking 'yeah, Imma check out the official forum, maybe do feedbacks, make sure i'm getting the game I want.' But I never did it past the registration phase. And till now, I just hope i might get something good. but nah, I'm just a sucker for a bargain. $15 for this? Hmmm. It's cheap. For something codexers recommend, I guess I'll wait till 2013 to see if it's worth the hype.

Not to agree with that moron, but I can partially understand it. Fargo has said all the right things in interviews (and still does it) when the kickstarter ran, with being ambigious all the time. It was basically "We are developping some oldschool RPG that feells like som game that came out of the 90ies or whatever lol". It`s not THAT much of a far fetch to assume that this could be either a hardcore dungeon crawling cRPG ala Icewind Dale or the complete opposite like Fallout or Baldurs Gate.

This guy is behaving like a complete idiot, but I could understand it he would be more reasonable.

Let's face it, he's overreacting. Editing Wiki Entry repeatedly is a bit much. But nobody forced him to put that much money on promises. Minimum $15 gets him the game.

The stuff he wanted could've happened, but he was voted down, people wanted content and even a toolset, before they wanted voiceovers and/or romances. That all went down before the end of the kickstarter, didn't it?

I'm just happy if I could uh...play 'something' out of the $15.00 I pitched in. Am I even qualified for beta?

I think beta access is at $55, but the beta will likely leak out to the public anyway.

Not if they make it online only, like Diablo 3.
