Well, looks nice. I am more interested in the rpg setting/rules/book, and if that is really good, then I will be sure to get excited about this game as it is based on Numenera's rules. We need more crpgs based on pnp rules, like back in the day. I just hope they don't deviate too much from the pnp rules.

Which brings me to another IMPORTANT point:

Will this be turn based or real time? It seems RTwP to me, which would be a huge disappointment. They don't need to emulate PSTs shit combat. (I didn't watch the entire video, just skimmed the page mostly. Fargo seems like a nice and intelligent guy, but he has the on screen charisma of a robot chicken) Also, shame they couldn't get Avellone onboard.

Also, big shame on not offering a tier which includes the pnp books. :rpgcodex:

Well, we can always fap to Chaos Chronicles ;) I, on the other hand, would never announce a complete cRPG incline :obviously: without a proper Daggerfall sequel.

Well, with Shadowrun, P:E, W2 and now Torment, I think my RPG slate will be pretty well filled up for the next couple years. It's nice to actually have something to look forward to again.

The Numenera setting actually looks very interesting and I like the story premise they presented in the video. Also the Mark Morgan track in the pitch video = ultimate WINNARZ like Cleve would say.

How are graphics gameplay? How is story gameplay? Those things are the polar opposite of gameplay. The visual design of the pieces on a chessboard is not gameplay. The notes describing the "lore" in the instruction manual of Settles of Catan or whatever is not gameplay. You liked PS:T, that's obvious, but that doesn't mean it had good gameplay.

Btw. Finding answers about yourself, seeking your creator for knowledge and moar answers... Sounds too familiar.

I hear you constantly bitching about this, but I don't know what the fuck you expect. I'm not saying that Project Eternity is going to turn out to be a great game, but the whole Kickstarter phenomenon itself is basically fueled by hope and faith; In hopes that a good RPG will be produced, I'm willing to pledge x amount of dollars because I have a certain amount of faith in Fargo/Obsidian/whatever to produce a decent product. In the end, that's what it boils down to.

I'm not saying don't criticize design decisions or anything like that, I'm just saying that criticizing these Kickstarter projects for not having everything nailed down to a tee is stupid considering the whole Kickstarter process is a crapshoot to begin with. It is what it is.

It had a very good gameplay. The gameplay was centered around exploration of the setting and the plot. You know - doing all those quests, learning about various factions and your plight, solving puzzles, going through dialogue trees, making choices, etc. PS:T is a prime example of the gameplay being used as a medium for telling a story.

Combat sucked, though. Fortunatelly it was a minor part of it... which is not a good excuse, really. :rpgcodex:

So, what would you choose: 65 $ boxed copy + 12 $ of mail + some risk of euromagicaltaxing in customs (but you got a box for your collection) or the 75 $ digital one (cheaper, you contribute more to the kickstarter, no taxing risk and get the Numenera's playerbook, but no box for your loot)? :keepmyjewgold:

Read the tiers descriptions, dumbass. There are two levels where you can get the Numenera rule book in either digital or dead tree version.

It's really digital manual versus physical one. I never got the obsession about boxes.

And there's two different ones. The player book and the rule book.

Yes, you can take the man out of TSR but not the TSR out of the man.
