What do you think TES6 will look like?

It is almost a definite fact that Bethesda wants to create a sequel to Skyrim, given how well that game sold; we have heard that they are working on it from a few sources, but we know little more than that given the amount of conflicting rumours around the place. It is also likely that they will base it on Fallout 4 to some degree, given that game's colossal sales; but it is incredibly unliekly that they will base it on the suggestions in this thread. With this stating of the obvious having been completed, I will leave the question to you: What do you think TES6 will look like?

It will be Peggle: Gamebryo Edition.

He wants to stroke your ego and in return you'll stroke his wallet. As simple as that. Whatever they believe will sell more then their last game will be ES 6.
Toddler Hoeward = Michael Bay of gaming. L I T E R A L L Y.

As far as how much of a RPG it will be? It will probably have RPG. Dwemer RPG. And VATS to target different parts of Dwemer dragons. Why? Cause it's kewl.

Do you mean its graphics? It will probably look better than previous Bethesda games but worse than 10 year old games of other companies. In other aspects it will be Fallout 4 without guns

I hope I'm wrong...

- All racial abilities will be removed, races will only be cosmetic.

- There will be three skills: Combat, Magic, Thievery.

- Perks will stay, mostly they will be things like: Destruction spells cost 20/40/60% less magicka.

- You will gain a set amount of Health, Stamina and Magicka at each level.

- It will be set in some exotic province, but not too strange and alien seeming like Morrowind. Let's say Hammerfell, since that would also allow them to continue that war with the Aldmeri Dominion. Expect Hammerfell or whatever province they choose to look somewhat different then how it was described in lore, with most of the cool souding ideas having an underwhelming execution or being outright retconned.

- If they pick Black Marsh instead of Hammerfell, you will be able to travel anywhere you want, even though in lore only argonians can survive in the southern parts of Black Marsh. That will be either retconned or handwaved with something like how you are the "Histborn" or something like that, even if you are not an Argonian.

- If they do pick Hammerfell, there will be some sort of "curved swords" meme again.

- There will be a lot of retcons and additional lore that doesn't mesh that well with the old one.

- There will be some kind of world-ending crisis, but no one will really care about it that much. Let's say that the Thalmor will somehow create the Third Numidium and an army of dwemer deathbots, but somehow, they lose control over them and thus they start rampaging all around Hammerfell.

- No one will really care much about that world-ending crisis, save for some NPCs involved in the main quest. Everyone else will mostly go about their daily lives and the Third Numidium with the army of rampaging dwemer deathbots will just be a minor inconvenience they will sometimes complain about.

- At the start of the game, you will be a prisoner of war. You will arrive to Hammerfell on a ship again, in order to exploit Morrowind nostalgia.

- The first NPC you meet will be a fellow prisoner that wants to know your name, kinda like Jiub. But this time, Jiub will be a pretty female elf, most likely a high elf, in order to show you that they are not all bad.

- In addition to all the other sliders during character creation, there will now be a gender slider and a list of prefered pronouns, with an option to define your own. While potentially interesting, don't expect the game to actually explore any themes related to that. It won't really matter as everyone will treat you the same no matter what and just call you "hero", "daedraborn" or "you", but it will be great for publicity!

- There will be one NPC you meet at the start of the game that will actually use your preferred pronouns to convince you that the choice actually does matter. Most likely female Jiub, who will be a major NPC and a companion. She will also be voiced by someone famous.

- Both you and female Jiub will be verbally abused by the racist Redguard soldiers in order to show you that this war isn't black and white.

- Of course, you will have to be special somehow with cool abilities, so during the tutorial you will be reavealed as "daedraborn" or something like that. You will have cool daedric abilities that are supposedly really powerful, but their actual effects will be underwhelming with long cooldowns. Most of the time, you will forget you even have them.

- The unskippable tutorial will end with a flashy boss fight, where you and female Jiub fight against some giant dwemer deathbot. You will almost die, but then you will discover your "daedraborn" powers and use them to annihilate the dwemer deathbot, in order to make you feel really cool and special. Female Jiub will be amazed and spend the rest of the game telling you how awesome you are.

- Female Jiub will turn out to be a secret member of the Blades, sent by the Emperor to sabotage the Thalmor. She will lead you to their secret hideout, where you will be accepted into their ranks instantly, no questions asked.

- You won't be able to romance female Jiub, unless you pay for the Female Jiub Romance Mod on the creation club.

- There will be 2 more voice actors then in Skyrim.

- Dungeons will be linear corridors that loop back to the entrance.

- Cities will be smaller then in Skyrim, but more detailed. They might also be split into several sections instead. Of course, just like in Skyrim or Oblivion, they will exist separately from the main game map.

- The game will feature the army of dwemer deathbots rampaging through Hammerfell like an exciting new feature. Stop them before they consume everything in Hammerfell! It won't actually matter that much, they can't attack the actual cities, instead they will attack really small and unimportant villages with maybe two or three NPCs that have a name and those three will be essential and thus immortal. Female Jiub will mark the settlements that need your help on your map whenever you talk to her or even walk near her.

- In order to rebuiild Hammerfell that's been devastated by the Dwemer Deathbot rampage, you will be tasked with rebuilding the razed villages and settlements. Thus, there will be a town building minigame, where you can build random statues and shacks for random nameless NPCs to sleep in. There won't be any real point to any of this and it won't really fit well with anything else in the game.

- During the final battle against the Third Numidium, female Jiub will sacrifice herself and it will be very sad. There will be a paid mod that ressurects female Jiub and allows you to use her as a companion even after you finish the main quest.

- It will have VR support, but it will suck.

- Modding Tools will be sold separately.

- Console Commands will be a part of the Deluxe Edition.

- There might like one or two cool weapon and armor skins and there won't be much visual variety in equipment, cooler skins will be offered as paid mods on the Creation Club.

- Daedric Armor will be a pre-order bonus.

- Daedric Horse Armor will be a paid mod on the Creation Club.

- Survival Mode will be a paid mod on the Creation Club.

- You might be able to become a vampire in the base game, werewolves will be a DLC, Wereboars and Weredragons will be mods from the Creation Club.

- There will be a DLC that takes place in Cyrrodil, to exploit Oblivion nostalgia.

- There will be a DLC that takes place in Skyrim, to exploit Skyrim nostalgia.

their games are getting stupider and simpler while their revenue keeps getting bigger with each title.

there is absolutely no reason to believe TES6 is going to be any better than skyrim, and a lot of reason to believe it will actually be worse.

It's still gonna have equipment/monster scaling instead of fixed equipment/limited scaling to some random loot, which always makes me sad in RPGs

I never said it would get better. I actually expect them to fuck it up, much like they did with Fallout 4, and make it unappealing to even the average gamer (but everyone has already preordered it, so it doesn't matter)

It will be the first mainstream RPG to have 3 genders during character creation.

To streamline the overly complex console UI from Skyrim, this game will feature a UI designed for voice commands. "Yo game" will bring up a menu with four color coded buttons, and after the user says the color of a particular button, the appropriate in-game menu will be displayed.

Perks will be replaced with micro-transactions. Upon leveling, you will obtain the ability to visit Bethesda online store. However, if your purchase the Ultimate Edition, you can visit the store as much as you want from the beginning.

Mods will only be allowed if they were purchased from the online store. Upon detection of any non-approved mods, the game .exe will attempt to explode the user's computer. If it fails, desktop background picture will be replaced with an image of Todd Howard's dick.

It will still use Gamebryo.

Taking advantage of newer, more powerful hardware, it will have twice, nay, three times as much useless crap inside every house interior, as opposed to improving AI or graphics.

Loading times between interiors, exteriors, and sex scenes will be so long, the loading screens will come with Bethesda's own card game, Gwentstone.

Third person animations will be done using actual motion capture technology. But only for horses, and only if moving up a vertical surface.

If I had to guess...

-Will probably take place in Valenwood, and will retcon it from a jungle landscape into either what Oblivion was or into some super magical high fantasy place like Morrowind.
-Race bonuses will be even smaller than in previous games. This has been happening progressively since Morrowind.
-Enchanting and alchemy made basically meaningless.
-World will probably be smaller but more dense, like Fallout 4 was but with slightly less/more randomly generated content
-More than likely they will stop using Gamebry-I mean Creation Engine and will use something that the id Soft engineers custom built for them. People are seriously fucking tired of the disaster that Gamebryo is with shit tier performance, graphics and generally how shit it is.
-Just like with Skyrim, no more attributes. If they decided to be super retarded they might even dumb down the skills further into just sneak, combat and magic that you put 1 point into each level so people don't have to specialise at all between different magic and combat types.
-It just MIGHT sell worse than Fallout 4. Actual fans of RPG games have given up on Bethesda since Oblivion/Skyrim and Fallout 4 is pretty notorious by now, a lot of people, even absolute Bethesda shills hated it.
-If we are going full :negative: then they might consider selling the modding tools with licenses.
And last but not least, Denuvo at launch to be cracked in a week. I hope another Boston Salt Party happens, where *chans decided it was funny to spoil the endings to the game and DLCs before launch. A lot of autism, a lot of fun.

There has to be a threshold where Bethesda games get so simplistic the game becomes purely a FPS melee combat game. Ok, it's already been there in Skyrim, but still.

Something people forget is that games need minutia. You can't just eliminate it all and have all "win." Games need stats, skills, inventory management, trade-offs between this and that, and bloom. The Bethesda approach of stripping away all thought and the boring parts makes the whole game dull, which is counter-intuitive.

So, my prediction is a very, very boring game.

Welcome to the Codex, Todd, and thanks for the insider info. I am absolutely positive that if anything of this doesn't make it in at the end, it's only because of time constraints (and will be offered as paid mods on the Creation Club).
