What game are you wasting time on?

Fear and Hunger, obviously. There's a playable demo for the sequel actually.

Moved on to Cat Quest II after finishing the first part. 8 hours of solid fun plus 2 hours of grinding to finish of the last dungeons. Sadly if you're too strong the end game is a joke, Cathulhu is more dangerous than the final boss. Still, I can't complain, had a lot of fun with this little time waster.

Playing Cat Quest. I think Rusty recommended it at one point. Very lovely skinner box

It's Rage 2.
Feels like Mad Max.
Switched to Jap VA to amuse myself.

Unfortunately the game can't really maintain my interest.
Art direction is shit.

Ewwwww...

Being stuck with Assault Rifle and Pistol for 2 hours plus is goddamn shit design.

Main campaign progression is basically GTA/Just Cause. Go somewhere, follow script.
The open-world is basically Mad Max / Witcher 3 point of interest. Clear points, smash crates for rewards. Spend them on perks and upgrades.

It's very telling when I can't even buy a new gun from store, only upgrade packs that you have to spend to customize your existing weapons.

Just an aimless open world shooter with terrible pacing and bland gunplay.
Play Mad Max instead. It felt way better than this.

heretic 2 is a great game because it lets me chop elves into bits and watch them run around bleeding out in panic with missing limbs except for the cases when the elf in question is a magus so he just uses his remaining limb to throw fireballs at me and this is most rude

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
I beat route A in Nier: Automata. It's definitely a Yoko Taro game. The side quests are mostly go kill this or go fetch that, but the stories are weird and fun in that way that you see in a Taro game. The game world is fairly compct, but screw the desert.
It plays smoother than the first game, but Bayonetta/DMC, it is not. I do have to give them one thing, though; combat can still be fun, when you face bosses. The combination of action and bullet hell can get intense. The game does feel easier than the first one, but I only played on normal.
One of the greatest strengths of the series is the soundtrack. I've been listening to them on Spotify, mostly at work, when I'm writing stuff on the PC.

I can't wait to see what comes next. My goal is to get all endings, which means that the content I have seen so far is far from what the game has to offer.

Been playing Kingdom Come Deliverance. Got it in one of the last GOG sales. Have it running with WINE staging and dxvk. Performance is ass but the game is playable. I think it's the first modern game I have actually enjoyed.

Gave Titanfall 2 a try for a couple hours. I remember seeing a few people say it was a decent shooter, but it didn't grab me. It's the typical kind of game that EA puts out. Polished, but very generic imo.

Going to try The Division 2 or Vanquish next.

Florence – A nice interactive animation, though the interactions don’t add all that much. It works because it’s polished and short (40 minutes). Would work just as well as a Korean webcomic, with the music added in the background. Still, I liked it.

I complete (and replay) Fallout Et Tu, a total conversion to play Fallout 1 in Fallout 2 engine.

1. All the numerous headache I have with F1 just gone. Which prove the old engine has some serious flaw that bleed into actual gameplay quality.

2. Man, Fallout 1 game is just so short. 500 days before Vault 13 get invaded mean you dont have time to farm your way to high level (14+) unless you devote time to shits like farm Deathclaws in Boneyard.
And we are not talking about actual game content. When you are used to Fallout 2 which has about double the town thus double the content... Fallout 1 is just too short.

I'd rather play Doom 3 instead of this shit.

Doom 3 had a pretty good story if I recall correctly. Also had an interesting flashlight mechanic.

You may be interested to hear that the very first thing Bethesda changed in Doom 3 once they got their hands on it was... the interesting flashlight mechanic. It's just a toggle On/Off-flashlight now. As a result the game completely loses whatever appeal it had, it becomes Just Another Corridor Shooter.

A shame. That's the BFG Edition, right? I still have the discs for the original. Just another reminder why it is important to keep physical media in the age of "enhanced" editions.

Some of the more popular mods for the original Doom 3 were flashlight mods, because apparently many people hated that "interesting flashlight mechanic". Bethesda is really not the one to blame there.
Personally I always considered it an annoyance, but it did lead to some interesting gameplay.

Yeah, I think there was a mod called "duct tape on Mars" that came out already on the same week as the release.

I on the other hand never considered the flashlight-as-a-weapon a particular annoyance. If anything, I liked whacking zombies to death with it because IIRC it was obscenely strong, lol.

Should have played on a Hard if you wanted to get anything out of the combat system. Luckily you can switch it at any time. And yeah, you're a little under halfway through the game.

Playing Blood properly for the first time, it's great. BloodGDX runs really well though I can't help but feel that the sound effects are a bit low. The difficulty is pretty good for my tastes on lightly broiled. I heard the other difficulty levels are bugged?

I had a good laugh when I entered the train tunnel at the end of the second level and it just kept going for almost a minute until I heard train sounds and got run over soon after. Most other games would just have made the tunnel inaccessible.
