Just beat Wizardry: Tales of the Forsaken Land. Started up Summoner 2 again, the far superior sequel to the original Summoner. Ditched the boring RTwP Mark Reynolds (swing and miss for those not baseball fans) simulator and went full ARPG. Gameplay is varied enough, such as splitting your party apart, each with a totally different style. One is based on single combat, one has to fight multiple powerful enemies (easily the hardest), and the other is stealth / assassination, with rewards for killing all guards without being spotted. Sidequests are fun, you're expected to use your memory, and figure things out etc. etc..
Will play FF12: Zodiac Age with a difficulty mod enabled after this. Easily the best game in the series alongside 6, and 1, but definitely lacked in the difficulty department outside of pushing the hardest possible hunts at the earliest possible time. Should be a welcome change of pace as long as the modder didn't take too many creative liberties.
