Until now, I-Deal Games hosted some small patches for various Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire bugs. Not anymore. Here's what Serge "Wildfire" Popov has to say in this thread:

I am very sorry, but user support temporary stopped due non payment from SFI. They keep silence and do not answer our inquiries.

We'll see if Strategy First will be more generous to MISTLand...

Weak. But oh well, Wildfire sucked anyway so I don't see why they deserve money.

It was just a mod anyways, too.

    true, but it's a chink in SFI's "non-evil" aura

I hope that SFI has a valid explanation for this.

    It wasn't just a mod.

It may have been a mod, in its secret heart of hearts - but it ended up as a published, on-the-shelf retail box at major stores like Best Buy and EB. It's SFI's responsibility to support it.

It's possible, of course, that problems were discovered with the patches, and that SFI yanked them for a perfectly good reason and intends to host updated versions.

Yeah - and it makes it look like an amatuer Mod insterad of a proper Retail release if the developer is releasing "just manually extract this file to here and overwrite this file manually" type patches in a FORUM. As the publisher, SFI will want to release proper self executable style patches via their official support website. That kind of patch takes a few weeks to put together.

That said - maybe SFI are all bastards, and we will never see the patch. One things for sure - I Deal games aint ever getting a contract again.
